21/5/2020 15:39 | I'm a firm believer in the bod, the share has done well for me, and I am not impatient. However this is getting ridiculous now. What on earth is there to entice new investors? We know times must be hard if we are expecting the enthusiasm during a presentation to move us up. Too much jam tomorrow, and it pains me to say that l. | skeptic1

21/5/2020 15:34 | This seems a common pattern, RNS released, stock falls, then after a couple of days it increases again almost as if it takes a few days for the data to be disseminated and absorbed by those that understand it more than a day to day trader. | ![]() spidertricks
21/5/2020 15:31 | The market remains as sensible as per usual in the face of industrial scale money printing, and now more shallow resource metals than you can shake a stick at. All we need now is for gold to go through $1900 and we will be back to 100p. I really would like to know where the sellers are moving their money to, if there's something out there more solid than this, I'd like to know what it is. | ![]() lefrene

21/5/2020 15:00 | 3Hats thank you for your input. Yes a trip back to Accountants. I sold the business property quite a few years ago. I will be 73 years old in july and forget the 14 year rule and perhaps the 7 year as well. Thank you again. | ![]() callmebwana

21/5/2020 14:49 | If there are still [potential] investors harbouring concerns about the JORC reserves and LOMs [note the plurality], hopefully these will be considerably allayed over the coming weeks and months, starting with what Bill Morgan has to say this evening. I think that the concept of a single life of mine is flawed. Apart from there being 3 main + 1 small mines producing, their outputs contrast and provide feeds into 3 main sorts of production: 1. Acid leach plant for gold dore - the most remunerative by some way. 2. Heap leach for gold dore - for the lower gold ores. 3. Flotation for the copper concentrate - also includes all the silver and maybe 15% of the gold in the concentrate. So, what comes out of Ugur, Gadir, Gosha and part of the main pit feeds 1+2 above; most of the main pit production going into 3. And don't forget the stockpiles. Given the plant is maxed out, the lives of the above will be geared to pretty much the same level of production and not far off the same split/mix over the next 2 years at least, going light on Ugur to optimise the feed mix v the residual life of the open pit gold extraction. The JORCed reserve uplifts for main pit and Gadir will hopefully be sufficient to at very least extend their known lives until end 2024; we can be confident they can both be extended longer via their underground extensions, both of which look to have plenty of higher grade gold. It is common sense that the proven lives for these will emerge incrementally; not like SW's team is going to burn a ton of cash boring say 3 new tunnels + passages just to prove there's 10 years there. What is wanted is to size up the next development for the next 3-4 years production such that it will be executed very efficiently, i.e. optimally modeled. As for these 5 new prospects earmarked for production from H2 2022 onwards, well they also are quite different in their 'purpose' in terms of production feed. e.g. Ugur underground [Ugur deep] will be a essentially a copper-silver mine feeding the flotation/copper concentrate process, in contrast to what it does so well right now, feeding soft rock, high grade oxide gold ore into the AL plant. Avshancli 1 will hopefully be something close to a substitute for Ugur as it is now. So, in effect may be conceived better as an extension of LOM for Ugur open cast than Ugur Deep will. A 1 is currently in the stage of being drilled in sufficient detail to measure the resource sufficiently for commercial production go ahead, hopefully H2 2022. Well, it doesn't bother me whether it has been drilled/assessed to JORC at the go ahead decision stage. As long as it's going ahead, that's what matters. The JORC will doubtless follow on if not already done at that juncture, just as happened at Ugur. Perhaps the above is why we haven't been reading/hearing so much about a 10 year LOM of late; it's a bit simplistic. I'd prefer a forecast of the production levels for dore and CC over the next 5 years or longer if the JORCED or indeed M&I resource can reasonably back that up. Beyond that, aren't we looking for a game changer anyways? I.E. following " Porphyry evaluation is planned for three years from 2021 to identify a mineral deposit suitable for mine development by 2024 " I'm hoping the Hardman's article will flesh things out, not least in terms of valuation. | ![]() 2sporrans
21/5/2020 14:48 | PURE a comment from the author (danger capital on small caps live) of the stocko article I posted the other day. '£PURE has found some strength this week, presumably due to the offer scheme docs being posted: Which shows that timetable has moved up quite a bit since our initial estimate. Scheme would complete 1st July with payments on the 15th July. The shorter timeframe also reduces the risk. They would have to face FCA action or Patent Infringement cases in the next 6 weeks to throw a spanner in the works. With courts operating remotely and FCA probably not very active then this seems pretty low to me. Also the requirement to have $40m H2 revenue I think lapses since they won't have month-end-close and therefore management accounts prior to the scheme becoming effective. Needs shareholders to vote in favour but they would be daft not to. So I think we have moved to a 90%+ chance of completion. With the price at c87p to buy today we have 13p upside, 57p downside & 90% we have a probability adjusted risk-reward ratio of 2.05 so above the 2 that hedge funds would normally want for merger arb even after the recent move up. I make the IRR 52% so again this exceeds the usual merger arb threshold that hedge funds use. So the shorter timeframe and higher probability of success actually make this a better opportunity today than when I first raised this as an investment idea.' | ![]() homebrewruss
21/5/2020 14:48 | CWB to be fair it is a little more complicated than that and there are lots of other ways to avoid paying IHT tax with the use of trusts and certainly with business property relief. With the gifting part there is also the 14 year rule to consider if you were to gift over multiple years and they were above the gift allowance, then it can drag in previous gifts including those into trusts. It is an absolute mine field and not something I would suggest anyone with a reasonable net worth does as a DIY project. | ![]() 3 hats
