One of the major differences with AAZ apart from the high genuine commercial skills, is that they respect their shareholders and their shareholders money. Quite unique on AiM!

If one happens across a quality bargain one should buy it before others notice. In due course quality becomes reassuringly expensive. The trick is to know the difference between quality and 'dayglow' jumpsuits. (Why do I suddenly think of LION? :¬) )

Certainly won't be wearing a cashmere jumper at Friday's AGM...

Well, I look forward to the day AAZ is expensive. I have enough at the moment, undoubted bargain though it is. At least the board here seem decent. I've got a stack of GFM as well and while the business is great, the board are singularly uncommunicative

If loads of people knew what we all know about AAZ there would be no shares available under £1.
The present offer on those is a bargain.
How long will it last??

The thing about our drill program is that if we find anything we will be able to get to it and get it into production quickly and cheaply with no processing problems, ggp have found some gold in the middle of nowhere 500m underground with no plant or money for it, aaz have mined down under gedabek for around a million dollars which is peanuts on what a 500m mine shaft and plant on oz would set you back ...

My personal view is that predicting the price of gold is a fools game. I've never come across anyone who can do it well.We are a low cost producer, with minimal debt and a low market cap. That is enough for me.I really hope we get an RNS tomorrow or Friday that adds a bit of meat to the AGM. GGP shows what good, albeit in that case, preliminary (and exceptional) drilling results can do to investor sentiment. I think clarity on the resource here is the main thing that we all want.

Guess the falling POG is behind some of the selling; maybe most of it.

Some folk may be a bit fazed by the death cross just formed [was it Monday?].
Up until 2 weeks ago, the POG decline was pretty much all down to the stronger $, since then though - and the descent below $1,300/oz - the decline has been cross-currency.
Just Gold getting sold, pure and simple.
The reason[s] for this ?
Going to look into it.

Whatever, it's not my mindset, nor I expect most posting here.
It's presenting ever better bargains methinks.

Apologies, unfortunately I am unable to attend the agm.

I would be very grateful if someone could ask if the dividend policy will be based on fcf. I am hoping they will not just pay the mining average of circa 5% as this is not just an average mining company. A policy of 20% fcf progressing to 50% when mine life is extended to over 10yrs would imo be a great catalst for shr price growth in the event that npv is increased following good results from the 3yr exploration plan.

I am however not ungrateful for a 5% divi, it is very welcome, but hopefully you can see what I am getting at.

May be they will also consider special dividends here as they will be amass sigificant cash over the next few yrs?

Just my thoughts

mad foetus, call your broker and get him to haggle with the MMs. You don't have to take the screen price. Or leave a kill or fill instruction. The spread looks wide on the screen prices, but I find I can always get inside that spread.

Terro,I get that, but it is a bit chicken and egg. And you can exert some pressure on the house broker to maintain a better spread: usually the broker will present at quarterly boards and show how liquidity, spread and volume of shares traded compares to peers. It is a metric they are judged on, the question is what importance the board attach to it.

MAD FOETUS, the company can not tell the market makers what to quote.
That would change only if high volume of trading was to take place, Is the story with most small companies.

If I don't get to the AGM one question I would like to see addressed is the spread and lack of liquidity here. It is a little bit chicken and egg: a lot of people screen and won't invest in something with a quoted spread that is rarely less than 3% and often, as it is today, near 8%.
