Jeanesy: To be simple: People buy, sell and hold stocks. This is valid for any stock on the planet, from Amazon to IBM to AAZ or Rio Tinto.

Not moaning just curious as to why there have been so many sells recently. I didn't think that we would be back in the 40's again after all the recent news. There are so many many of us that have sizeable holdings as we bought so cheap that it is inevitable that there will be some large sells at some stage. Perhaps someone has decided that it is time to offload some of their large stake already?

You never know why people sell. The shares could have belonged to someone who died, and the executor is selling them. It could be someone buying a house who needs the cash for a deposit. It is not a huge amount (110k ish) and the share price has absorbed it. Onwards and upwards.

There is no reason to liquid at 44.25p other than for the administrators of Beaufort securities.

So let's zoom in a bit over last 6 months. The 45.5p line was very clearly RESISTANCE and the volume reinforced that.
We have now broken that RESISTANCE line with a noticeable increase in volume.

What was a 6 month line of RESISTANCE, should now prove to be SUPPORT ... we are seeing that being tested now & certainly so today with the first real volume test of that SUPPORT line.

jeanesy .. you still seem so concerned every day that is not a blue one.
In Summer 2016 you were here complaining we were not holding 20p, insisting that there was no way Trump would ever win the election and that gold could not hold $1,270.
Now the share price is up over 100% since then, Gold is $1,300'ish and Trump did win the election.

Whilst each trading day may be an interesting microcosm of the long term picture, it is usually best (if in doubt) to review the long term trend.

since this finally broke the Bashirov selling pressure in Feb 2016, there have been 27 monthly candlesticks on the chart .. so far 8 of those months have been down months, 2 have been 'flat' months & 17 months have been up months. That is pretty damn good!

For many technicians, the breakout was only actually confirmed at the start of 2018 when the price closed the month over 32p & confirmed an upward escape from the 13 year red downtrend I show on the chart so, from that perspective, the trend is still a relatively young one:

That is a very sizeable sale and another daily drop, despite what the chart says. Looks like we haven't reached the bottom yet. I wonder who is selling and why?

A lot of money has been moving into uranium this week. It might explain the large sale. I’m still happy here, though still learning detail about the company. Thanks for all the shared views

Nah, gold nails would simply bend.

I'm very interested as to what is at Gadir on route to beneath the main pit, continuous zones of mineralisation on route with a distance of circa 1km to dig out is a major bonus with it being on the doorstep of the plant.

Exactly.
There will always be sellers and lets face it its less baffling people selling at 44p (when the share price was under 20p less than a year ago) than it was when Bashirov was selling at 4p.

You either believe the share is under valued (in which case you're a buyer - I'm still in this camp) or you don't.

Lots of people have sold lots and lots of shares over the last 2 years. They were all wrong to do so... in that the share price has risen since then. They may however have had no choice. They may, like Basher, have needed the dosh.

Worry not robo.
The market has just seen 470k of sells at over 44p.
Increased volume is a great sign of security in the price.
It'll be even more secure once the debt position at the half year becomes apparent, once it becomes known just how much copper ore we can process at this lovely copper price with the new crusher.

80p by year end

NAILED ON.

WITH GOLD NAILS.

not me robo .. I've added yesterday and today & will remain a continuing buyer until we get over the 80p level.
I've also just done a final small Bed'n'Isa this week for remaining £2k allowance in this year's ISA on the basis that I expected a bit of a lull just now before the AGM statement, the AGM itself & confirmation RNS that the new crusher is now installed & commissioned in Q2 as signalled by management.
(Had a DOH moment earlier and thought ISA was £18k not £20k limit)

Once these items are out of the way, I believe the next RNS could very well be a Resource upgrade / details on exploration & I believe it will not be easy to buy once that news hits the wires.

+ the more I can gather in here, the bigger the yield & value the dividend payment will represent later this year.

If you try and second guess why others sell, you'll go plain mad.
At the time we did not know why Bashirov was selling all the way down to 4p .. only later did we read about him being in court but, at the time is seemed completely illogical why he was selling.

This company has delivered on everything it promised and more, which is just about unheard of on AiM. The managers are not greedy and hold also a lot of shares, the financial record is immaculate, like others here I have no idea why it is being given away. I can only suppose that hardly anyone knows about it. Either that or the end game is for it to be taken private at a knockdown price, now that all the risk has gone?

looking at that long term silver chart .. it surely cannot have much further to go into that huge wedge pattern before it breaks out significantly higher & then as much as $50 could be the new base value.

All three Gold, Silver & Copper charts look appealing to me .. particularly so Gold & Silver.

If somebody got those at 4-5p may hyave been happy to take 90k+ profit....

Best I been quoted before close 46.48...
The 235k must have been take up and not in the market.

2sporrans, we are the big players in this stock....

A decidedly big sell always niggles with me.
Does a big player know something we don't?

Brushed the idea aside and bought a few more; missed 45p but lucky to still bag 45.5p.

A market Cap. of $52-mn looks far too low, if you expect there's 10+ years of production, at around level of past 3 years.
The odds are very good now that there's plenty more years and at higher production but similar margin.

A sustainable dividend may do wonders in bringing out the value.

No one sells 235k in a share like aaz in the hope they can buy them back cheaper. Almost impossible to buy that quantity now. More like they see other opportunities out there. Still onwards and upwards

Anyone owning up?

Ive been done a few times on stocks over the years. Selling initially takes it down with the intention of buying back cheaper, others follow you but it never seems to hit the buy back price and before you know over the next few days its way above.
