Yup, I agree Terropol. It's much closer to happening than people realise.

The dominoes have all been lined up for ages and simply waiting for a catalyst. BREXIT is the catalyst.
quite a few candidates now for the second domino

MATTJOS, when we get a big Bank meltdown...(unless governments keep working magic...) And People ask for real GOLD not ETFs then there will not be metal available to cover paper long positions...That will make real metal very difficult to get...And price for a time will be wild up....
As per AAZ we will see the £1 x share valuation in time.

Deutsche Bank now going down hard as it cant hold €12. A failure there has the potential to collapse the whole EU project as their derivative position is greater than the whole of German GDP. Any contagion from Italian banks could trigger DB collapse & this could be the next Black Swan event.
Little wonder gold keeps going up.

Italy has been blocked from trying to recapitalise its failing banks as EU rescue funds can only be used for 'solvent banks' .. .since most Italian banks are insolvent, the banks are supposed to be looking to shareholders now for funds but, I don't see many investors stepping up just now to see money go down the drain.

This could unwind pretty quickly now.

I see now Denmark Bonds have also gone -ve!
Pretty soon every bond in the world will be -ve

Yes we've seen this tactic and others for much of the last couple of months. It would seem they're really hoping for people to get impatient/bored/nervous and sell.
I would argue they've not done too badly with that tactic so far but they really need to put it up another penny or so to get the next significant round of selling.

Either way, it adds up to the fact that this will continue it's climb, pause and occasional dip for many weeks yet. Still so far off value for what they're going to clear this year, let alone next if gold is the same or higher.

Significant trade in the auction. Time is running out for this slow accumulation. A great deal of patience has been shown til now bearing in mind the timescales involved but that's bigger than previous deals. A pick up of pace?

@jeanesy: Can't remember if it was mentioned post AGM but the new SAG mill is already in place and being commissioned.

It was a sensible decision. With that 165k trade we will be moving up shortly

I have said already that this looked a rather too hasty decision ... within a week or so they will be regretting it but, we don't know ALL the reasons for the decision

If POG gets above 1400 we should all be delighted here with the best year's production hopefully to come . When the new sag mill becomes operational then all we need is the gold to process. News on that would be most welcome .. more drilling, new targets ..please.

For all anyone knows pog is going to equal the Dow, it has before so no reason why it can't do it again.

Stock is now tight.

Early days yet bsg.
Granted it feels that way at the moment but it seemed reasonable enough only just over a week ago. We still have over $50 to go in POG before it costs us and I guess we won't get there before the 12th July.
If we don't then it'll be a max exposure of 16,500oz out of what will probably be 38-40koz for the half year.
If we're going to be losing out on it then we'll still be selling 38-40koz with a margin of at least $775 and be clearing $30m. For the half year.
Goodbye huge portion of debt.

But as I said, things can change very quickly and we're not close to $1426 yet.

Such a strong buy.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Debt is melting away and we have a highly profitable gold mine for £20 mil. The price is only going in one direction. UP

Anglo Asian CEO Reza Vaziri commented, "This is a win win transaction for us. Whilst protecting the downside in the current volatile gold market over the coming six months given Anglo Asian's debt service payments, we also enjoy considerable exposure to any further increase in the price of gold during this period."

Blimey jeanesy. Two posts without worry? Is this some new trend? :D

Anyway, they seem happy enough to widen the spread and see if they can wait for some sells but I'm not sure they've moved it far enough to get any real number. It's recently needed to move a penny or so to catch the next round of selling. I'd have thought this would only be all the more true with the POG

With this gold price the H1 update (which I guess could be Monday) could prove to be quite explosive. Granted H1 will be the small half for production and it is looking like it will also have the lower gold price but it's going to point the way to the turnaround that 2016 is going to be.
