Now AAZ is even cheaper than yesterday.
At close yesterday AAZ were 152p. and gold was at 1939.
Gold now is at 1974 up $35, AAZ are now at the same price as the high of yesterday 157p. So every time gold falls AAZ follows, When it rises it goes back to where it was before.

Morning all, Gold doing really well for us, we have JORC to look forward to and AAZ have also kept our guidance unchanged, which actually works out better for us. If we are actually producing more in Q3/Q4 to make up for the short fall, our realised gold price (assuming) is currently and should be a lot higher therefore the poor results in Q2 is actually currently a big positive. Can AAZ do it ? When have they ever failed so I definitely they can. On another note, we are getting tipped and written about a lot more than usual. Once investors around taken notice and the whole rush to gold miners, this will reach £2 no problem.

When i turned off at close yesterday gold was down a lot.
I was expecting to turn on this morning and find it closer to 1900 than 2000.
They just can't seem to get gold down and keep it down.

As heavy duty money moves into the sector I guess we will see a steady rate of takeovers as players consolidate their holdings goldrush. AAZ stands out as very undervalued imo, but of course thankfully will not get taken out on the cheap because of the significant management holdings.

Brasso now cursing I wasn’t around yesterday, could comfortably have done a churn on FDBK and bought back; now stuck with indecision, it’s a nice problem mind but not sure it’s going to get a buying surge?

AAZ - I can't help but think this Ireland move is window dressing for the eventual sale of AAZ to a big fish,,, get the AZER JORC done and then perhaps find another couple of deals in the explo space and then wait for the offers to roll in,,, I just feel the team is too old to realistically get Ireland into production,,, please, all.. do feel free to tell me I'm an idiot with this view,,, but, there you have it,,, AAZ will be sold in the near to medium term :-)

Cheers
Wan :-)

The difference with gold and oil is also how small the gold market is in the grand scheme of things. If you take all of the fake paper gold out of the equation there just is nothing to go around! All of the gold mined only fills a space 21m x 21m x 21m!

Pogue, Schiff and Richards are super long in the tooth gold commentators not quite of Jim Sinclair “going to the moon” ilk. Schiff particularly is famed for proving others wrong as much as anything, spent a few years being ridiculed on the networks, never afraid to stick his head above the parapets, so you have to give him some credence in his predictions, simply as time proved him right before famously on the 08 property market crash.

Of course you could say he lives off this but if you google old videos, it’s fun to watch how he was mocked and then proved right pre that crash.

the stupid prices come out quite often with oil not just peak oil. After the 2008 crash the old story of lack of investment due to all exploration etc being cancelled pushing prices in the future into the stratosphere got rolled out, and a couple of times since then IIRC, I am beginning to see them occasionally now but still muted as there is no real end in sight to the CV19 consumption drought, once that is nearing the end oil speculation will go through the roof, unless another problem appears which is quite possible.
Regards gold I don't know the bull commentators I must admit but I am beginning to hear more and more people mentioning how high gold prices will go. It is probably a bit early to worry about the top of gold but there will be one and I am not wanting to get complacent lol

poque Remember the value of gold doesn't really go up, it's more a measure against fiat currencies that are losing value. 50 years ago my farther in law in India could buy 4 ounces of gold with his first pay check of 70 Indian Rupees. Now 70 Rupees can't even be exchanged for £1. If you have very young children/ grand children. Buy them 1 ounce of gold every year until they are 30. That will be their retirement fund.

c0Lin1. 1 less goldie to invest in. Will also bring more attention to the sector as people start to look at who's next. Clock is ticking

Not forgetting it's a cash offer so likely lots of the money will come back into the section

Pogue

Peter Schiff and Jum Rickards have been talking about these kind of numbers for 10 years so its not new. They are simply making a prediction based on increases in M1 / M2 money supply.

I think the period you refer to in oil markets was around the time of the 'peak oil' myth.

its beginning to remind me of an oil price rise. Near the top commentators, analyists etc come out with stupid valuations of $150, $200 etc a barrel to suck in mug punters to create liquidity for their clients and friends to exit large positions. Now I have never ridden a gold bull before so its new territory for me but its beginning to smell a bit with all these fanciful projections.
