23/7/2020 00:26 | @mattjos Interesting read, Conroy broker report... hxxps://www.brandonh | bleepy
23/7/2020 00:19 | Off topic - did anyone see the drama with MBO today? Up 1167% at one stage. 4.5p to 57p to 15.5p. Glad I don't day trade. How many of today's buyers would've finished the day happy? Anyone who bought at 5,6,7p would sensibly have banked 50, 100, 150 percent profits. And probably now regretting their timing. Anyone who bought in the 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s is nursing a loss. Some won't ever see their buy price again. Can anyone remember a bigger intra-day gain than 1167%? I can't. | bozzy_s
22/7/2020 23:24 | Conroy Ipo docs list many prospective areas much akin to Aaz ipo docs. That all changed for Aaz when the ZTEM survey was conducted producing a list of 32 targets leading to 5 new discovery announcements. Will Aaz contemplate the same for Conroy licence areas as it had them greatly excited immediately following the survey. Seems an accurate survey to target ore anomalies and pin point drill targets. And perhaps like Aaz incentivize the exploration teams on a drill and find bonus. Aaz have the expertise and experience to rapidly classify the prospective areas toward pick n shovel stage. @mattjos Conroy have a lot of historical data but need pinpoint technique to find the gold. From the map they suspect (like Aaz) that this area is part of a much larger system. The ZTEM survey proved its worth at Aaz, can the same be done at Conroy. That apart it’s down to scoping, sampling and geo surveying to guesstimate the drill targets. | bleepy

22/7/2020 21:52 | Oilprice.com is finally waking up to the obvious that Biden in the Whitehouse will be bad for oil hxxps://oilprice.com ‘.....The return of 1-2 million bpd of Iranian oil on the global market would cap oil price gains next year, a leading oil analyst said last week. “If you have Joe Biden as president he could basically take the US back into the [Iranian] Nuclear deal and you could see a million plus Iranian barrels hit the market. These are the kind of things I think will be very important into the trajectory of oil into 2021,” Helima Croft, head of commodity strategy at RBC Capital Markets, told Business Insider in an interview last week.....’ If Biden wins the November election, he could be inclined to revisit and renegotiate the Iran nuclear deal, potentially easing some sanctions in exchange for Tehran returning to compliance under some revised form of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). | pogue

22/7/2020 21:38 | This looks very definitely 'our cup of tea', imo & our experiences of similar formations in Azerbaijan should serve us well here. The more i look, the more i appreciate how this is more than just a superficial 'engagement' of two companies looking at the mining potential here. Conroy Management & Geologists do seem to have a pretty damn good understanding of what it is they are sat on. Anglo Asian has extremely complimentary skillset in bringing this specific type of gold deposit into production & the processing techniques to do so profitably. Given the relatively narrow, elongated but very deep (6,000m) structure of the Longford-Down Massif & the good grades, this looks most likely to be an underground mining operation & that will also minimise the possible local objections from an aesthetic standpoint. If, for example, you were to compare and contrast the relative footprints of the AAZ open-pit operations in Azerbaijan to the TSG underground operations in Kamchatka, you can see the huge differential in size visible at the surface. | mattjos
22/7/2020 21:32 | bleepy, 2sp & any others minded to do the legwork. I would draw your attention to papers by J H Morris (1979) and to M J McMurtry (1980) with regards the Longford-Down Inlier & the Red Island Formation, specifically its original source. You will also find this site useful "Geological Survey Ireland Spatial Resources" … load the map and from the layer list, select Bedrock Geology 1 Million + Mineral Localities. Then you can search for Clontibret & Glenish. Once you zoom in on those areas, additionally then select Bedrock Geology 100k layer. you should be able to quickly find the Red Island Formation around Glenish & the Slieve Glah Formation nearby to Clontibret. Unproven but, there seems to be plenty of evidence that we are clearly onto something: "The wide distribution, over a strike length of about 200km, of greywackes rich in distinctive volcanic detritus is, again, more readily attributed to a regionally extensive volcanic arc source, than to spatially isolated oceanic islands." | mattjos
22/7/2020 20:49 | The sharp move up in the price of gold means that, whether by luck or design, the fact that we are expecting 60% of our FY production in H2 should materially improve profits. | mad foetus
22/7/2020 20:33 | My 2nd largest miner ROXG inching closer and closer towards testing highs not seen for 8 years. | riggerbeautz
22/7/2020 20:23 | I am interested in how much leverage there was back in 2008 - 2011 with gold producers verses gold price. The gold price went from $750 to $1900 during that period and I seem to recall that gold stocks returned 5 - 10 times the leverage. | brasso3
22/7/2020 20:20 | Brasso3, Not quite what you asked for The chart below shows the relative performance of the producers you mentioned over 3 years. Confusingly shown relative to the AAZ share price. Note my chart doesn't include gold price. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Not sure if that helps at all. If not maybe the resident chartist (wan) or someone else can help May need to use another websites charts to get what you asked for | conundrum
22/7/2020 19:47 | Hello All, Just wonder, but why all the AAZ Trades are Offbook ? | garichd
22/7/2020 19:15 | $1,869 was my target for this Gold move ... Apex triangulation point overnight so i now expect one last pullback to $1,800 before the more steady rise takes over. Let's see if i have it right | mattjos
22/7/2020 19:02 | From Conroy Ipo docs.. This prospect jumps out as significant... The Clontibret Tullybuck/Lisglassan gold deposit The Company has completed six boreholes totalling 585m of drilling at Tullybuck/Lisglassan Have to go out for an hour or two so continue research later. | bleepy
22/7/2020 18:45 | Yes, it doesn't make sense, Wan. At steady state production and costs, profits before tax should be double at $1,850 v $1,200 given $600 as the AISC (the sales margin has gone from $600 to $1,250 per oz). We are not as leveraged as some miners, due to the relatively low AISC, but should still have seen a rise to around £2 a share imo, even without improved balance sheet and exploration results... certainly lagging for one of the many speculated reasons, or otherwise. | king suarez
22/7/2020 18:44 | Wan A little charting challenge for you (I know you have nothing better to do on a Wednesday evening)! I would be interested to see how some of the major gold producers (FRES, HOC, HGM, CEY, AAZ) performed from 2008 - 2011 relative to the gold price. I do not have the skills to do this on ADVFN! | brasso3
22/7/2020 18:32 | Will take a look Mattjos, as always with Aaz rns the detail is often embedded and scrutiny often reveals the width and depth of the news. First glance and after listening to Bill and Stephen, it’s a steal certainly for Aaz and none to shabby for Conroy. | bleepy

22/7/2020 17:58 | we shall see, but so far I have the AAZ share price completely wrong in terms of the price of gold,, I was so, so sure with current production and all the potential it would be around 250p by now,,, alas we seem range bound, blighted by who knows what,,,, but seemingly blighted right now!!! oh well, I'm a novice so I cannot possibly understand this situation,,,, but gold had gone from 1200 to 1868 since Dec 18 and what has AAZ share price done, gone from 90p to 129p,,,, that's 1.55x for Gold and 1.43x for AAZ,,,, so maybe I was expecting way too much,,, as 1.55x90p = 1.395p so we're not that far off track on a pure linear comparison,,,, if that even makes any sense to do LOL LOL LOL :-) LOL,,, oh what a game this is,,,, GLA Cheers Wan :-) free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | wanobi

22/7/2020 17:24 | All, I have started ploughing my way through all the Conroy RNS's and also their IPO Docs so that I can better understand exactly what it is that has sparked AAZ's interest here. Reza, Steve, Bill, the two Johns, Farhang .. none of these people are daft. We would all be pretty stupid not to credit them with seeing a good opportunity here Happy to report that from my early research, it is definitely a case of "so far, so very good". Suggest others make the effort to do the same & then we chew it over in detail here … that is what this Board is good at & there are sufficient number of regulars here with broad enough skillsets such that we should be able to reach a calm & considered consensus opinion of our own. I've also had some prompt & detailed email exchange with the company management in response to some early doors queries I had (other than the obvious "Are you sure?") … hopefully they will be taking note of such questions and it help them frame subsequent updates to help investors understand in more detail. | mattjos
22/7/2020 17:03 | @Ciniob Could you supply some examples of these renewable energy bonds? Thanks in advance Ape Apologies to others for OT | return_of_the_apeman
