Fair play Bumpa, if you said in the teens, I wouldn’t have been surprised :) Out too with a hundred quid in my pocket, will pay for tonight’s restaurant bill. Off for breakfast and another beach.

This joint venture will immediately add gold resources to our inventory and there is a well-defined path to production at Clontibret.

There is also very considerable exploration upside along the rest of the Longford Down Massif.

Anglo Asian has a track record as a successful builder of mines.

This experience in developing mines will prove complementary to the geological skills and local knowledge of the existing Conroy Gold team and enable the Company to rapidly drive the Project forward.

It is of a scale which will add to the Company's operations, but is also well within the capability of the Company to manage, without impacting the development of our Azerbaijan assets.

Successful exploitation of this opportunity has the potential to generate real value for our shareholders.

Got them at 20.5 when choiced at 21. Sometimes they go through, sometimes they don’t.

They were offered at 19 pre mkt, but opted to wait for the open.

Shares in Conroy already up over 50% suggests the market thinks it's a potential company maker for them.

The environmental and nimby hurdles will be set high, to be sure.

Then again, AAZ can demonstrate form to assuage some concerns.
Whether enough is another matter.

Jobs will be all the scarcer these days though.

Jeanesy I’d say AAZ offer CGNR the potential to actually do something more than kick dirt, no wonder their share price took a rise. As for AAZ, the financial terms are peanuts. Never any guarantees but if you can’t perceive this as low risk, when all the terms are heavily in our favour, you’ll never be positive on any move the board make.

Slept in for once!
Well, its not something I saw coming, and I know nothing of Conroy but you have to say, it shows the board looked pretty wide before choosing this particular opportunity. Can't say more than that until I've looked a lot deeper.

Just brilliant timing to add a 3x4 leaf clover assets to the company.

We already have already demonstrated that mines can be fast tracked from exploration to production within 12 mths.

Well done, again, Reza and team and on our way to expanding the company to mid tier status.

We also await a pipeline of news from our Azerbaijan mines of progress on 5 new discoveries, going underground at Gedabek, promising expansion at Gosha, additional ore bodies crossing Gedabek boundaries into our portfolio, a remaining 27 exploration targets on the list to investigate and the lucrative Ordubad to develop further.

And the luxury of collecting a handsome divi twice a year along the way.

Game-changer for CGNR. From £4m they ought to multiply in value.

Potentially good for AAZ too.

This is a bit tenuous, but GGP sat around doing nothing for years too. Still hasn't mined any gold. But worth £460m today compared with ~£1m in the early 2000s.

@katsy I thought that too surely they wont let us just do open cast mining in Ireland like they do in Azerbaijan. It will have to be far more subtle.

Conroy's been messing around for ages. I hope their people won't be running the operation or it'll be another decade before anything happens.

Yes let’s face it. It’s only one quarters income to pay for it to 55%

I have just looked at the BB for CGNR. I cant say that i'm that enthused tbh. I hope when i have chance to read more into it then I am wrong. I trust AAZ management but don't see the attraction of a JV with this company at all atmo. Someone please reassure me why it is a good idea.

We get to 55% before any building of a mine
Could end up much higher depending on how it’s all financed

Mainly this recent Proactive interview - 30/4/2020 - is about the Ireland licences and looking for a JV partner. Now AAZ!

"Clontibret - several million oz."

Conroy Gold and Natural Resources (LON:CGNR) chairman Professor Richard Conroy interview with Proactive London's Andrew Scott.
Glenish is one of a series of gold targets including Clontibret which Conroy's looking to develop as its first gold mine and is actively engaged in seeking a joint venture partner.

I hope Conroy don't have all the problems that Galantas Gold had in Ireland with NYMBY's all but killing the venture. Everyone wants jobs but the moment yu start digging holes in the country side every man and his dog starts to raise objections.
