23/5/2020 09:07 | FWIW I thought the 70k yesterday was a sell. It was timed at 11something and was below mid at the time. I don't think in the scale of things it matters but it's not something to get hung up on | ![]() mad foetus
23/5/2020 09:00 | bozzy. I have been watching Pure gold the last month or so, they have risen about 50% in that time. They were at the same presentation the other night. I am not interested anymore with them, their M/C is now 256m pounds. They also have about $100m debt, with those that have borrowed them the money getting 10% royalty reducing down to 5% when paid back, i think that's how it works from memory. Another one i was watching Libertygold. M/C about 190m pounds.I am not looking aat them either anymore. Someone said they can't see where anyone is buying here, well they are not looking in the right place. Again yesterday 70,000 shares for a price of 94,400 pounds. Yes you would think they would raise the price to get the shares for the buyer. But there are not that many out there, and why pay more when you can get people to part with their shares lower. Its a game for them the MM's who are getting these shares for their customer. Keep the share price under check, then when news comes out drop the price, people will get worried, or bored and decide to move on to another gold miner that is moving up. They are never going to at millions of shares as they are not available. Most of these shares are in sticky hands, so the best way to get some is to do what they have been doing for a while now. Bore you out of your position. I also think something big will drop one day here sooner or later. All just my opinion. | ![]() gold finger 1
23/5/2020 08:59 | aha, someuwin,,,, yep, the biggest snake on the board in this game of 'snakes & ladders',,,, not a nice thought at all :-) LOL YIKES, although Bill did say 'never, never, never' to the question of nationalisation,,, so we're all safe, right!! Fingers crossed on that one:-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
23/5/2020 08:56 | Good Morning all, Good Luck and Good Health today :-) Cheers Wan :-) My head hurts,,,, is it the beer or is it down to the wall I've been knocking it against since my last post :-) LOL LOL :-) | wanobi
23/5/2020 07:52 | The other odd thing is why the company suggests it will take 2-3 years to get these new sites into production. They had them identified about a year ago, and make huge show of how they went from discovery to production at Ugur in 12 months.I honestly think they are in complex negotiations with the government and are on a go slow. So the government is getting their small share under the PSA, large amounts of dividends are being paid out, and the company isn't increasing production. If Bill is correct, production will increase from 80k geo in 2018 to perhaps 100k geo in 2024/5. Given the size of the resource, I don't believe that is anywhere near the best AAZ can do. We need clarity. Bill said he was bound by the takeover code. Meyer said we were being taken over. Now nobody mentions it. WTF! | ![]() mad foetus
23/5/2020 04:43 | For once I (respectfully of course) disagree Matt. I don't think it would be an insurmountable hurdle to pick up new joint brokers. Perhaps a PR company too? Someone mentioned about investors usually looking for either a growth stock or an income stock. AAZ could hire a broker which specializes in each. It looks like we'll be growing again from 2022. Maybe AAZ's growth orientated broker could bring some institutional investors, reducing any loans needed to fund new mines. And of course the income focused broker can get cracking right away. It's a judgement call. We all admire how well AAZ have done so far. Perhaps a small amount of dilution to pay for new mines would benefit the long-term share price? GG - yes huge resource for SOLG. Can anyone think of other non-producing explorers valued above £100m? Good weekend all. Had to double check, yes it's already the final Monday in May! | ![]() bozzy_s
23/5/2020 01:55 | @someuwin: Well I suppose the worst case scenario is one dies and their invested money multi bags. Lol, absolutely no one is immune to that and mind you that is a much more distinct certainty as compared to making or losing money but that doesn't stop any of us from investing, or does it? :) | ![]() doc_oj
22/5/2020 23:35 | SOLG? Speculative gold stocks? When AAZ has a declared resource of...Mineral Resource of 2,663 Mt @ 0.53% CuEq for 9.9 Mt Cu, 21.7 Moz Au and 92.2 Moz Ag in the Measured plus Indicated categories.... I'm sure we'll find the share price much higher! | goodgrief
22/5/2020 23:35 | ...The 'worst case scenario' with any stock is that you lose 100%. No share is immune to that possibility. imo. | ![]() someuwin
22/5/2020 23:01 | @Wan: My thoughts exactly on AAZ, it just doesn't add up - it seems to me that Bill just pulled a number out of nowhere with the 100k when pressed. If it was something planned, he would have answered it straight up front rather than needing to think about it and then coming up with a number. I suspect there are talks of some description going on, the RNS last year, then John Meyer talking about there being a buyer, then you have this rather long duration before we hear anything more and then rightly or wrongly the strategy they have put forward seems to have a bit of a void between now and 2022. At the same time, why would they for no reason keep bringing up 'outside Azerbaijan' repeatedly. You don't talk about something repeatedly for no reason and then for Bill to say he is unable to comment on it would very likely mean that there is something to comment on that he is unable to. Anyhow, I am happy sitting on my hands, feeling frustrated but getting at least 5% in divs, knowing my money is invested in a solid company with a great BOD and worst case scenario will take longer than my original plans. 22/5/2020 20:51 | It's on the Greek side. Surprised me too: https://www.venusmin | ![]() mad foetus
22/5/2020 20:46 | LOL the finishing, I have given up on that. I think the stuff you are talking about must be in the North as The Greeks would not have anything to do with AAU it being a Turkish Co. Maybe I am wrong. Oh Cyprus in the ancient times was the producer of Copper. | ![]() callmebwana
22/5/2020 20:38 | Thanks cmb. Not sure how AAU manage as a miner with interests in Turkey and southern Cyprus: I guess mining knows no boundaries Apparently Cyprus is full of copper but nobody has looked for it since 1900. Hope any drilling doesn't scare the fish away | ![]() mad foetus
22/5/2020 20:35 | M/F.I am in North Cyprus. The Turkish side. I have not looked into AAU. Well I did and remember something about Cyprus. All I know is thre was a big Copper mine here that I have been to. Sorry can't help you more than that. | ![]() callmebwana
22/5/2020 20:04 | Cheers Wan. I have been drinking.😉 My feelings are the same as yours. LOL I did a long post and my internet went off again. I didn't let things get to me. So the ones that sold is their business. They will be the ones looking in their back car mirror while me and you overtake them. Have a good evening and have a few more beers. T/O will happen When is the question. ATB. | ![]() callmebwana
22/5/2020 18:41 | I very disappointing end to the week for AAZ holders. The fact that the question about the PSA was not even asked last night really disappointed me. We were told last night that any questions that weren't answered but asked would be answered on the proactive website in time. I am not holding my breath. Perhaps he was not allowed to ask the question, who knows ? I am not surprised the shares went down today . Obviously some are getting bored here and see 'greater potential ' elsewhere. I remain a holder and will add more when i feel the price is right. It is that porphyry find that will be transformational imo , lets hope they find it , but that is not on the agenda yet. | ![]() jeanesy
22/5/2020 18:19 | They would not be interested boxy because they'd immediately see that they would not make any money out of AAZ othe than the regulatory minimum. Placing make money for the London spivs.Chaps, please all be a little more patient here. As the real world, longer term financial impact of this virus becomes clear to more and more people with every passing week this year so, AAZ will become ever more attractive to sensible investors.Didn't quite the touch back today that i hoped for .. another penny to go yet. Let's see the reaction once we get that touch back ... meantime, enjoy the bank holiday weekend everyone. Another week closer to receipt of the AAZ divi ! | ![]() mattjos
22/5/2020 17:37 | See Bumpa busy playing detective in EVG, interesting. AA. also getting more interesting by the day, though the seller may have had a day off. Right off to focus on Canadian market before the close. Might have a pint of Pedigree later :0) hope Brasso was in. | ![]() riggerbeautz
22/5/2020 17:35 | Dp I think you captured the position well.A very frustrating week all in all. Across my portfolio I saw a better share price increase this week in a minnow gold speculator that burns cash every month and realistically will probably never get as far as ever producing an ounce of gold than I did in aaz which digs out 80k ounces a year! I suppose that's the markets. But if I was sat on c40% of this company as the board are I might want to take a long look at the market reaction and consider investing in some financial pr. To not have broker notes a week after results is quite frankly dreadful. How they will ever expect to get on the radar of the small cap fund managers without someone selling the story beggars belief. So I remain a disappointed holder, impressed by our operations but disappointed by our market acumen.Time to open the red I think.Gla | ![]() baddeal
