Aaz need someone with the skill set of last nights host presenter Andrew, Bill comes across as seeing the presentation notes for the first time just minutes before he’s on air.

Donald pond re your post 35674 and I quote "If your own broker isn't enthusiastic, its hard to persuade others."

Then why did John Meyer of SPA state on record a couple of months ago that the Govt was making an offer for us ?

Is this not part of the issue we are dancing around handbags and not screaming about our assets.......and BEING SEEN TO BE NOT maximising shareholder value......IMHO

This reminds me of many an AIM board now - and I think the share price behaviour enables that. 'Big buys going through', 'someonws accumulating' etc. I wish it were true and will gladly eat humble pie, but I believe the reality is that the market is disinterested in us, and the BOD are in some way responsible for our hidden status.

Whatever happened to our buyer who won’t go away, perhaps they’re hoovering up stock, or maybe they’re a persistent seller to drive the price down?

There will sadly be a proportion of AAZ shareholders who may, in effect, be forced-sellers.
Folk are being made redundant all over the UK & others are on furlough, not knowing if they will ever go back to their jobs.

This 'penny' has only really started to drop in the last week or so amongst many people off on furlough.

Unfortunately, i suspect some people are cutting/trimming some of their shares all over in order to have cash on-hand. Making sure you've got cash to last the next 12 months in case a second CV-19 Wave emerges this Autumn going into Winter, would see most of the UK back in Lockdown all the way through to May/Jun 2021 & I cannot believe the government Job Retention Scheme can run at 80% for all that time … we simply cannot afford to do that as a nation.

+ this latest news piece was very well 'telegraphed' & the price rose in anticipation. Whilst an excellent update, there is nothing in it to sustain or propel the rise any higher & folk know that so, there will be some taking a 10=15p 'turn' after a two week trade.

Finally & I really cannot explain why but, AAZ always, always, always seem to take a small re-trace and back-test on just about every breakout pattern. It's reliably done so for years & years. At some point in next day or so, it will likely briefly re-test this red line & look for support .. on todays candlestick that would be circa £1.305:

Skeptic, don't you believe it there are plenty of traders on this board! I'm not one of them but I'm sure plenty are dipping in and out in chunks of a few tens of thousands of shares.I don't see any evidence of there being big buyer in the background. Can't say I've seen a holding rns for years!

MARS off to the races Brasso, jv with Carlsberg, very shrewd.

Hoping my punt on it will be, seems significant re-rate now, but need to digest it more.

Like it DP and agree entirely fair to ascertain how they hope to attract new investors. There’s an easy out of course, “Everything we do is for shareholders” etc but I’d hope we wouldn’t get a politician type answer like that.

1. Broker
2. Govt discussions
3. Actions anticipated to drive SP

Isn't the usual strategy to increase the price to entice people to part with their shares? Why anybody would sell on a -5% day is beyond me, unless they're a distressed seller. I know people on here don't have weak hands, but there's almost twice as many sells to buys today.

Yes a buy which has been completed without appearing to drive any demand.
Nicely done by the MM

Well there goes another 70,000 shares to our buyer at a nice low price.
If you can't see whats happening here you must be blind.
Gold up and AAZ is down 5% on no bad news, while the rest of the sector is rising.
They will gladly take all your shares of you if you want to sell.
Any chance they are getting they are marking the share price down. They want you to sell, can't you see that.

When a buy appears a few hours after it occurred what does that mean? It doesn't affect the share price the same way it would if it was reported straight away.

That is true e43. Something like POG was drowning in debt, and the rise in gold transforms them from ticking over to making substantial profits. At the same time, we haven't had any really substantial corporate support since the Hardman paper last June. If your own broker isn't enthusiastic, its hard to persuade others.

AAZ has income now, divi's now, no debt, and good to very good growth prospects, a resume' hard to find in normal times, let alone in the current debt induced vortex. The bogof share price is a gift, gather them whilst ye may.

Thanks for those who reported on last night's presentation. As always this is BB is the best place for AAZ info.

Couple of thoughts re recent posts - I read every single word on here, sometimes more than once!

The guy who mentioned yesterday's share price reaction and cv19. I read their comment as 'I'd understand this reaction if AAZ had reported cv19 in one of its mines.' i.e not suggesting it had happened.

And today someone recently mentioned it's ridiculous to lose £6m of market cap for a few thousand pounds of sells. In the run up to yesterday's RNS the market cap had actually increased on a few thousand net sells.

Good idea to present some questions on behalf of our 25%+ combined ownership. Agree completely with the two key themes already suggested.

Edit - can we have GGP's broker(s)? They've done a great job!!

A word of caution for those who have recently bought or thinking of buying AMC, seen this lots of times, inexplicable big rises over a few days and then an equally quick drop and back to square one.

I take all those points onboard D/P.One thing you did'nt factor in to the lack of shareprice performance is the AISC of production at sub $600 for AAZ against an industry average of probability slightly over $1000.i.e higher cost leveraged producers gain more from a rising gold price than a cash rich low cost producer like AAZ.So the market may just be working efficiently.

Bill is right, he can't do anything about the valuation that the market put on AAZ.
He can do no more than present the news he has.
He may or may not have news in the pipeline, but as you say they seem to mark the share price down good or good. But i see it as i see it,and for me their is a buyer out there who seems happy to take anyone's shares that want to sell.
Me,i will add on the dips when i have money.
