22/5/2020 16:59 | I wonder if this week came as a shock to the board. Bill seemed very excited in his interview last week. Maybe they now realise that it is new buyers that will move the share price, not just news that the converted welcome. Hopefully there will be more news next week, with proper back up from brokers, and we can get off to the races. In the meantime, AAU and EML are paying my mortgage! | ![]() mad foetus

22/5/2020 16:46 | ORPH recovered well today I think its bullet proof just now I bought on the dip have been doing that on the way up but my average is only 7p as I got in very early. I think there is more to come there judging from todays performance. Proactive on Thursday have Cathal Freil on for a presentation and he's on Voxmarkets today explaining the reason for the fund raise. He is first on the podcast, the next person on the podcast is Russ Mould, Investment Director at stockbroker AJ Bell, and he gives his view of the market going forward which is very close to my thoughts ie bearish. hxxps://www.voxmarke | ![]() pogue
22/5/2020 16:43 | I guess we have all made presentations to groups in one way or another. The storyboard is generally who we are and how far we have come where are we now and what are we doing where are we going and how will we get there. The company's presentations are excellent on the first two aspects. It is the third area (the vision thing) where they are light and it can only be supposed given how professional they are in everything they do this is intentional. We can and do make assumptions for ourselves in this area as to prospects and potential however and there is a fund of goodwill from existing investors given we understand how much has been achieved. But to introduce new investors and some vitality to the shareprice valuation the company will need some clearer and fuller disclosure in this third future orientated aspect. Edit I should add btw I am personally very optimistic and added again today for the second time this week . | friendzarin
22/5/2020 16:38 | Well a very poor end to the week for me, flat yesterday and down 1.5% today, all a bit meh really. Blowing an absolute hoolie up here Wan, never mind the sun will shortly be over the yardarm and we can open the bar. Have a good weekend one and all ;o) | ![]() fozzie
22/5/2020 16:34 | A very poor week given the potential. Pretty disheartened tbh but still, have a good long weekend all. | skeptic1

22/5/2020 16:17 | Well, its all disappointing but let everyone learn the lesson that it doesn't matter what news you release if you don't back it up with organised, professional support. Bill does his best, but this is ultimately a public company. You release good news, you follow it up with brokers reports, your nomad phones up his key contacts, you turn news into a story and a story into momentum. It's not complex and its been something we've been asking for for at least 18 months. | ![]() donald pond
22/5/2020 16:04 | someuwin, I understand your point, but once in a long while a company comes along that due to it's high efficiency and huge margins can actually both pay a divi and fund growth. AAZ walks all of the talk, so far they have delivered in full on all promises. This not a typical small miner that goes long on hype that never gets delivered, and then passes the hat around .....again. They also have a habit of bringing new mines on very quickly. Currently pulling circa 220 oz ev of gold out of the ground every day of the year at a $1000 gross profit. If people think it's too good to be true, well I'd like to know where else is better in terms of income, inflation proofing, and future mine capacity? | ![]() lefrene
22/5/2020 15:58 | No it doesn’t doc. Agreed. There is obviously “somethingR As for the John Meyer question... well he didn’t actually state the govt was making an offer for us and I’m afraid I view him as a largely uninformed observer. I reckon matt and I know more than him and hence I wouldn’t believe him on any knowledge of a buyer, a bit like I didn’t believe his outfit when they had price targets under the share price of the time a couple of years ago. Incidentally I’m not sure they even have a price target do they? Last I seem to remember it was withdrawn due to be issued. I might be wrong though won’t as I don’t pay much attention to what he says. | jbravo2
22/5/2020 15:37 | Yes if I’d have held Orph I’d have took up the offer, might have to wash out some who take a fast profit but it didn’t look that bad in light of supposed prospects. I’d made my money there though and don’t understand the business so I’m just watching with interest. | ![]() riggerbeautz

22/5/2020 15:19 | Well I think it all depends on how the value of the deal is weighed against those future debt targets, I’m looking for mid 60’s as an exit myself, could go higher. | ![]() riggerbeautz
22/5/2020 15:17 | From last year's AGM one of the conveyed messages was that John Sununu stated, "Take your time, we are in a hurry". Now I have to admit that I am probably one of the worst qualified in terms of knowing what a reasonable time frame for progression is. What do others think in terms of the progress we have made in the last twelve months and the time line for the future prospects we have been advised. Maybe I'm just being impatient but does this seem like a "hurry" to others? | ![]() doc_oj

22/5/2020 14:49 | I think possibly the problem here is that peeps don't know whether to treat AAZ as a growth stock or an income stock. In gerneral, I think investore tend to put larger amounts in dividend payers in order to generate income - thus they want safety over underlying growth. And, imo you don't want growth stocks that pay dividends. The stock can be held back by the fact that the divi drops in percentage terms as the price rises, thus the divi acts as a drag. I may not be explaining it well, but it sums up how I currently feel about AAZ. Something about it (geopolitics maybe?) makes me too nervous to commit a large amount to hold for dividends. And at the same time I feel there are better growth stocks out there because those stocks can use the cash they generate to increase growth rather than give it away as divis. | ![]() someuwin
