GG you’ll find me quote plenty of people, even the odd analyst, I just like to keep an open mind and not swallow everything.

A lot of people rate Ray Dalio and Bob Prince of Bridgewater, I’ve liked some of Dalio’s comments of late but just casting back to January, the worlds biggest hedge fund was talking up the end to Boom Bust. This aged well.

B.t.w John Meyer’s coverage of AAZ has been so behind the curve at times it’s not worth mentioning his price targets.

So what is thoughts on share price over the coming weeks. Surprised we haven't seen shareprice higher. Do we think there is any bad news out there or is it just waiting on some good news to move the price now.

KATORO GOLD (KAT) 2.5p to buy

Reminder they are in the home straight in terms of a funding decision for their JV project in SA due by 29MAY20.

Tiny market cap of £6m and funding will start a project that will be worth $500m in revenue to KAT. It's a near term surface tailing's project of proven 1.3m ounces of gold and production will be next year.

SP shot up to 3p early this week on robust scoping study which should significantly improve the chances of funding and gives you an idea of where the share price will go should funding be approved.

I think there is also a great chance of a quick short term trade even before the decision, as share price looks nailed on to rise in anticipation of what would without be a company making RNS.

Rb, fair enough. Have you read his biog?35yr industry veteran turned investment analyst. Comments on the sector and trends generally, not ramping companies. No teenage scribbler!PS. If I ever find you quoting 'experts', I may return your toilet paper comment just slightly used!! :-)

Wan just to let you know, people can only tick up or down your thread by using a computer. Most people like myself use a tablet or mobile phone so can not tick up thread. in fact using tablet I can not even see header. Try not to worry so much, many people are reading this thread from mobile devices. Regarding you selling some AVCT shares, I think you have done the right thing regardless of where shares go from now. When a share is playing on your mind then that is the time when your holding too many. Good luck.

Wan think your thread is fine, too much in the header people will moan, I stick generally to resource plays but if I asked you to stick more links in, you would only find some would disapprove; everyone can search the net for stuff they want.

Incidentally, next week I intend closing out all but core positions, the rest will be short term (for me) trade punts only; Bumpa May yet be getting through to me lol.

GG if your post after mine was aimed at my comment, I’ve edited for clarity.

Thanks WW and baddeal - I am still none the wiser though :) As for the article, it was a he point that non-mining investors who traditionally view gold miners as taboo might soon have little option than to consider them as they are one of only a handful of sectors that are increasing profits (and dividends) at the moment

Link worked for me cc and I'm not premium subscriber.Mind you having read the article I'm none the wiser as I can't say I get the significance of the gold:oil index.Yes oil is an important cost component of mining gold but I don't see the real relevance

just catching up with 'Andrew Marr',,,

having spent the day finishing the 'Market Wizards' which has really helped clear my mind Rb,,,, truly great book,,, many thanx,,, I'm much happier now with some of the recent risk reduction / scaling out decisions I have taken... :-) :-) and now I'm acutely aware of some I should have taken and some I will be taking :-),,,,

anyway back to Mr Marr,,, Prof Peter Horby Oxford Uni, The New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Committee Chairman, known as cv19's Mr Treatment :-) like it :-),,, is currently running the worlds largest randomised clinical trial for the potential treatments for cv19, the recovery trial (we are aware of) - he spoke about a lot of things, but key for any 4D investors,,,, he said

"they have some 9500 patients in the trial across the whole of the UK, 170 hospitals, biggest trial in world, 2 aspects to cv19, the virus itself & replication, BUT, there's also a lot of inflammation and so we have other drugs that target the inflammation and you need both I think, the best therapeutic approach would be a combination of one or more anti-virals, plus something that dampens down the immune response to the virus"

4D - "There is an urgent need for a safe and effective therapy to prevent and treat the severe inflammatory symptoms of COVID-19, to alleviate the significant burden on hospitals and intensive care units (ICUs). Targeted immunomodulation may be beneficial in these patients."

if and again as always its still a big IF 4D's drug works,,, then, hmmm, well, cough cough,,,, should be good for the share price... :-)

GLA Holders
Cheers
Wan :-)
