25/5/2018 14:59 | Make that Bill! | bo doodak
25/5/2018 14:58 | Listening the interview and all the very real positives I'd just like Bob to display a wee bit more enthusiasm. It is a very minor criticism given the achievements to get us to where we are now, and no doubt that's the accountant in him. | bo doodak
25/5/2018 14:39 | 6 months we have been in consolidation awaiting FY17 results. There is now nothing 'in the rear view mirror' so to speak but, plenty ahead 'through the windscreen' to look forward to :-) The trend should be upward. New faces arriving now for the next part of the journey and many previous investors now realising that trading out for paltry 20% in the hope of scalping a few more on a drop is a daft exercise, particularly as the MM's will so quickly lock buyers out for even 1,000 shares so, your dealing costs will quickly run up for no gain. The company is still absurdly cheap & has plenty of catalysts in the pipeline to maintain the growth in underlying valuation so, why would you want to sell at this level simply to pass a gain on to the next person? | mattjos

25/5/2018 14:11 | still no sign of a seller in the auctions .. buyer is probing ever higher with small parcels to try and find out if he is still there but, he's not finding any for sale, which is why there are no UT trades last night or today. Either seller is completely out or backed off until we get much higher | mattjos
25/5/2018 14:09 | Friendzarin, yes it's early days and the new leadership will unlikely yet be fully up to speed with dirty politics. There will be all kinds of vested interests wishing to keep things as they are, and very likely doing their best to undermine the newbies. However there is perhaps a chance for things to improve, and both sides will be only too aware that Putin perceives the area as his own backyard. One can only hope for the best. Seems that the prospect of a divi is sending out the right message, it would be good to see this well managed business reach a fair valuation. What is it now, about $100 million sunk in capital equipment and almost $50 million debt paid down in short order. A gross profit of something like 82,000 oz x $660 (about £41 million) for the end of the year. Certainly the managers here are doing rather better than those clever people who paid £350 million for Homebase and just sold it for a £1. I suppose as things come good and there is capital to splash around it brings whole new dangers of it's own. Just a tad early here to worry about those sort of problems! | lefrene
25/5/2018 13:48 | Bit more of the same but it all helps hxxp://www.morningst | friendzarin
25/5/2018 13:42 | bleeps/lefrene. Slightly off topic but I'm not sure that we might not be in a 'meet the new dawn...same as the old dawn ' scenario in Armenia with regard to attitudes to Nagorno- Karabakh as the last paragraph in this article mentions. However I hope not . Armenia is an extremely delicate position with regard to its relationship with Russia viz a vis E U tie ups. Georgia's moves in that direction by Mikheil Saakashvili didn't end well. hxxps://globalriskin | friendzarin
25/5/2018 13:32 | Making money here so fast don't know what to spend it on next | abbotslynn
25/5/2018 13:26 | Yes bleepy the Azeri's have behaved with enormous restraint in the face of the aggression from the now fallen Armenian regime. I guess this is 'populist' politics that goes unreported in the mainstream western media. It has to be good for the area as a whole, and could perhaps precede an era of prosperity as the world is likely to be become 'East looking' once again with China re-establishing overland links to Europe. This was once the cross roads of world trade, it's position could lead to this happening again. | lefrene
25/5/2018 13:17 | Mattjos.....market maker ??? | basem1
25/5/2018 13:17 | After 25yrs of peacefully protesting their right to return to their own lands I believe they would be “open” to finally resolving their rights. | bleepy
25/5/2018 13:00 | Meanwhile AAZ now marching back to test (and likely break) recent highs around the mid 50's... | yasx
25/5/2018 12:59 | Mattjos, plainly you are the sinister puppet meister, the price action has eerily gone exactly as you predicted. :¬) bleepy, yes I too am hopeful that the new leadership in Armenia will mend bridges with their neighbours and I hope the Azeri's are open to this. | lefrene
25/5/2018 12:50 | Quixotic, unpredictable or not....just watch this space. A new leadership from the people is emerging in neighbouring Armenia promising to rid the corruptive ways of the last leadership and mend the many broken bridges toward its neighbours and open its doors to the wider world. Not forgetting that Aaz have another 3 mines in the Armenian occupied territory of Azerbaijan. Diplomacy will take time but again...watch this space. | bleepy
25/5/2018 12:50 | next leg up underway, all aboard!! | mr roper
25/5/2018 11:42 | bleepy, it could just be the location, a part of the world regarded as quixotic and unpredictable, and yet Azerbaijan is itself a reliable place to do business. Hence I think in this report the method of sale via the Swiss company was described. As far as I am aware the Azeri's have never wrong footed the oil businesses there, and they have been there for over a century. They would seem to be rather more reliable than dealing with the USA, but of course it's all about perceptions as with most other things in life. | lefrene
25/5/2018 11:21 | Just catching up and read the article by Daniel Flynn outlining the transformational leaps of Aaz that have yet to be recognised and acknowledged by the blinkered market. Just a matter of weeks/months before it becomes obvious even to a blind market with many share price catalysts looming. As Bill says”The reality is that over those four years we have added two new mines, completely turned the business around, added processing plants, and vastly improved our prospects. The market is not currently ascribing value to these points, and some of our investors understand that well.” | bleepy
25/5/2018 10:46 | Thanks Mattjos. I've been skim reading this BB for a few weeks, and I like the feel. Bull and bear points can be discussed without personal attacks. A refreshing change from the vast majority of boards on here. | bmcb5
25/5/2018 10:44 | Good work FZ. | 2sporrans
25/5/2018 10:41 | Well done FZ for your work getting Aaz, Sp Angel and St brides to up their game re PR. Moving in the right direction and much appreciated. | jbe81
25/5/2018 10:38 | welcome aboard bmcb5 .. feel free to ask any questions you have as part of research .. this has always been an open board with folk willing to share all they know | mattjos |
