Good post 2s and accurate perspective in my view. I’m a little disappointed that the momentum that was building up was lost as a result of the RNS not hitting the spot since the ‘next leg up’ might now be underway with more good news to come. Anyway I added more once we were below 30p again and await ‘the meat ‘ you spoke of.

Sure Robo, they've fallen ~9p from their 37p spike peak.
My comment was focused upon the past 2 days; little selling then.
None so far this morn.

AIM shares are typically volatile, when they are in a rising period they shoot up, typically in anticipation of good news, then they retrace after the news; they lose a lot when the news disappoints [as most recently; plenty bone but little meat] and a shed load if it is actually poor.
I'm concerned to identify that the recent sell-off has petered out.
Don't think that's blinkered.

In any case, in early 2016 ago AAZ was selling for 4p; from April til mid summer it languished back to 15-20p range.
Then Ugur hit the mat.
So, relative to those 'baselines' and longer time frames the share price is doing fine.

Not that these observations really matter that much.
IMHO the single most important consideration for AAZ's valuation, especially taking a 3 month view, is the scale, quality and nature of the the gold/copper resource that lies beneath and adjacent to the currently excavated floor of the main pit.
This is the "meat" the last RNS failed to deliver and which we now await.

On the face of it, some committed investors still entertain a fair degree of skepticism; hence the selling. Then again most of the selling may have been down to traders [not investors], typically of the momentum chasing variety, selling the recent rise.
Price stabilisation now seems to me to support the latter contention.

Do you see it differently?

Yesterday was a day of net buying; decidedly so as the day wore on.
Today, 17k of buys on LSE + ~20k net buys on nex.
At least there isn't a slow hemorrhage going on; the opposite more-like.
Although this net buying limits the scope for dip bargain top-ups, it's good in as far as indicates a growing perception of long term value and maintains underlying upward momentum of the share price

Getting close to loading up time, I have not been buying and selling these recently but there have been easy opportunities to lob some out and buy back 25pct lower numerous times... I am sure as soon as an interesting rns come out re one of the areas being explored we will be right back to 35p

enthusiasm comes and goes in waves Brasso, as you well know.

Exactly jeansey .. the company looks to be doing everything right on the ground as we all know but, the PR and the way the news is covered is, unfortunately, falling short of investor expectations. I think we are long past the time of trying to save a few $ by ramming bucket-loads into infrequent RNS ... better from here on to increase the frequency of the RNS and use each one to more clearly emphasise one particular positive development.

If Reza wants the company better valued, that ball is very clearly in his court just now & that means being more picky & demanding in who he chooses to be the company advocates in the marketplace.

I'm sure it will change once some more objective figures emerge next year, as all the main levers on the business model are in our favour .. in the interim, I hope Reza uses this recent example to think about the news/PR and how it is managed.

We have now fallen 20% , purely based it seems to me , on a poorly worded RNS which told us nothing much really. The problem is without any buying this may fall further still. As we are not expecting any imminent news this may drift lower. Getting cheaper by the day . At what point do people see this as a bargain, im not sure . Still waiting to hear from Bill.

Matt

My ZEN, TXP, PPC, MYN and CERP shares are not dead. Quite the opposite. I have had the best month profit gain in years. Will take a few more AAZ if there is anymore weakness in the coming days.

market is totally dead at present .. everywhere. Business generally also very quiet just now. The drop off has been very pronounced over last 4 weeks. No apparent reason that I can detect & a bit unusual at this time of the year.

Am sure it wont take much in way of news here to turn the boat but, could be so much better if we had a pro-active, supportive / effective NOMAD ... share price Angel are not helping the cause in any discernible way

Think we are suffering due to AIM traders chasing oil stocks with WTI at $57/ barrel.

"Why would somebody sell 3 lots of 1000 shares one after another?"
Hi Terropol
Wondered about this too; daft if was the same person selling 3k of shares.

There was a subsequent 1k sell which dropped the price down to 27p; following which there were 33k+ buys on LSE + 20k buy on nexexchange.
No more sells during this patch.

So much is just high volatility despite very thin volumes of trade due to a tiny pool of shares that are up for trading.
SP drops a couple of pence on sells to brokers then buyers are snapping up, so don't think there is a sustained fall in share price underway.
There are such falls on small producers with high costs.
Like Orosur [OMI] down ~25% from its Sept. 2017, POG driven peak; has an AISC of ~$1,200-$1,300/oz.

Good morning, all gone a bit quite on this ship...
Looking at the sales this morning, Why would somebody sell 3 lots of 1000 shares one after another? They could very easy sell 3000 in one lot and get same price with less dealing costs....(noticed that before)
Looks to me somebody is trying to get the shareprice down....and spook people in to selling... "well I got a few more"

RE: Get together,
What do you locals think... Mattjos,Jbravo, Brasso....?

I will be going to Mines and Money end of this month, Happy to meet some London people there.

My Anoki (A38 near Derby)dinner still in my plans if some people interested?

That 250k was from 2nd november . Not sure why this should drop 6% today on such low volume. You can now buy for under 30p again!!
