"Based on our analysis, Anglo would be a good strategic fit for BHP or another major miner due to potential synergies, asset quality, and commodity exposure (especially copper). Our analysis indicates that Anglo consists of an undervalued portfolio of multiple tier-1 assets, several of which are in relatively low-risk jurisdictions (Chile, Peru, Australia, Brazil). There is a scarcity value to tier-1 mining assets that is not reflected in equity valuations. Hence, Anglo could be a compelling fit."

As I switched my computer on this am.just before the market opened I thought it would be armageddon. I was totally surprised.

It did however get me thinking, as I'm now in my twilight years, that I should maybe cash up and go for secure income!

Funny old week in the markets. Israel/Iran thing seemed to take money away from the LSE (but my ISA and SIPP only saw half of the damage). OK, I'm 78 and somewhat cautious but still can't get my head around slow death of UK stock market from the net zero political (Kamikaze) obsession to destroy our economy. I guess the real risk is deciding when to cash in all UK investment chips? Any crystal ball gazers here?

Funds are going to start buying AAL when the new fiscal/tax year ends (5th April). This is when it will properly start its recovery - being the most battered stock in mining.
