IMHO Aal shareholders wouuld be crazy to accept this offer sell @£26 with 100% shares than except 2% less shares @£22 no brainer BHP cannot in my option offer too much more as it will dilute the share price further with extra shares ,same goes for glen,Rio And anyone else who bids, paper is rubbish cash is king.

Yeah it seems the recent share price drop was some sort of small tree shake to try and get shares in the 2600 / 2700 range.

The boss of BHP flew to South Africa for crisis talks as the mining giant seeks support to take over rival Anglo American.

Chief executive Mike Henry fears a deal could be derailed after Anglo dismissed Sydney-based BHP’s £31billion approach.

But BHP is thought to be working on a fresh offer of up to £40billion.

I love the variety of views on ADVFN. It makes me feel I know what I'm doing and then realise I don't. So, I decided to dump a little of our holdings at £27. I feel I am still too ace deep in AAL for my liking. But excitement at 78 years of age is a rare and welcome experience. More "fun" to come, I'm sure.
