Yeah it seems the recent share price drop was some sort of small tree shake to try and get shares in the 2600 / 2700 range.

Can the fresh news see us break and hold 2800???

The boss of BHP flew to South Africa for crisis talks as the mining giant seeks support to take over rival Anglo American.

Chief executive Mike Henry fears a deal could be derailed after Anglo dismissed Sydney-based BHP’s £31billion approach.

But BHP is thought to be working on a fresh offer of up to £40billion.

I love the variety of views on ADVFN. It makes me feel I know what I'm doing and then realise I don't. So, I decided to dump a little of our holdings at £27. I feel I am still too ace deep in AAL for my liking. But excitement at 78 years of age is a rare and welcome experience. More "fun" to come, I'm sure.

Plenty of holders will have been happy to take a definite profit. Am holding and been accumulating. I think 30 is not an unreasonable expectation

Because I was making a nice paper profit and it was imperative that I be given a nice paper loss.

It's always like this during takeovers. Alternate euphoria and depression. Keep holding is my advice, even the whiff of a rumour that someone else is interested (and they will be) will boost the price.
