Morning keith

A few days later than normal perhaps, but nothing to be concerned about surely? Perhaps just taking them rather longer than usual to count all the beans they have earned this time? Hope so, fingers crossed anyway......

The suspense is killing me. Only other time they were this late they were sorting out pension rules when they declared a special dividend!

The Beast from the East kept Pimlico Plumbers very busy with 22% increase in T/O in period.

Guess the same should hold true for ASY

Maybe a record year in store for ASY given actual and forecast climatic extremes.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

There's been quite a few big sales this last few months, people obviously getting a bit nervous about the results and taking profits. However, there's always been steady buying too. I wondered why the share price wasn't going up with 8000 bought over the last few days but that order must have been put in on Monday and as you say, it went through within the quote.

8000 looked like a sale (obviously)
Seems the stock found buyers but encouraging the 8k was within the quote.

Pretty upbeat blog/news just been put up, strengthening the management etc. Full of how well the company is doing and saying that Scotland has basically increased by about 20% in the last year. Am hoping the full year results are going to be quite good and the trading update should be very good. The shares have done very well over the last 18 months but here's hoping there is more to go.

Always possible
My experience though would suggest that as of the date of passing , all assets of the deceased are frozen until probate
is granted.
Who knows but there may be a connection.

Am wondering whether what you describe is somehow related to the recent death of a Director? Pure speculation...?

It does get a tad complicated and there
are a few possibilities.
I would be amazed if they were still with a MM .
Just my guess

OK, think I get it. One more question! We have seen large batches adding up to around 100k shares being sold in the last month or 2 and nowhere near that amount being bought. So, why do they seem to be short of stock? Where id they all go? Sorry to ask seemingly silly questions but I am trying to understand this!

Keith
It can happen when as in this case , the price is quoted in 300 shares
Obviously the buy order was larger than the quoted size.
Broker may pick up the phone and talk to a MM directly and ask at what price he can buy 880 shares.
Then upto the Broker or his client if they which to pay over the quoted offer to fulfil the order.
MM might not be in a rush to move the price , especially if they have little stock on the book, for a while hoping that there may be a seller around. In most instances , you would expect to receive over the bid price .

That oversimplifies what may or may not have happened .

We will never know for sure

Seems they have moved the price up now Keith but no stock to sell at even 580 (can only get a quote for 1 share!) electronically whereas they'll buy 1000 at 560 and 2000 at 552ish
