The golf course that I play on is like Weetabix. Desperately need some rain. Ground might as well be frozen the way it is playing. Greens still being watered" while stocks last " Water pressure definitely lower in our home.

Bit cooler this week but it comes to something when expected highs in London of 25 to 28C are described as feeling fresher. Looking to heat up again the following few weeks, especially in the south so it's beginning to look like a belter for

Confidence was high for a break down of the good/very warm weather next week but now beginning to wonder. Early tropical storm getting involved which may buckle the flow and keep a lot of us in very warm conditions. Will update, but a continuation of this will be very nice!

Yes, and they are hiring out the ET9 (ex-hire I think) for £15 per week. However, that's ex vat and a minimum of 10wks hire plus £50 each way delivery which comes to £280. You can buy one for £99 plus vat plus delivery which is £170. They must have a lot of them!

I notice it's a minimum 4 weeks hire for the air conditioning units per the website.

Special plea here. This is a decent, friendly, board-can we please keep it that way? Play the ball, not the man. By all means be critical but make it about the company. Really don't want it to descend in to name calling and be yet another board that becomes a pain to visit. Cheers all :-)

put in multiple electronic share purchase orders today but just cannot pick up any stock whatsoever. telling you something about demand and liquidity of shares. gotta be a really vintage/extraordinary year for ASY in the UK this 2017/18. Very wet/cold weather in winter followed by a scorching and multi-week heat-wave in the UK. Down from 600p to 500p, they are an enormous bargain in my view but can't get stock in any meaningful volume. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

There were some pretty big sales before the results, 100's of thousands. That might be something to do with it. They will have loads of units left don't worry. that's the thing about this company, they have plenty of slack manpower and equipment ready to deal with floods/heatwaves/cold spells and most of it goes to the bottom line as it's all paid for with very little extra expense involved in getting it out. So yes, they are doing very well and if you get wind of them running out of a/c units let me know as that will mean mega profits. I've actually ordered 4 units this week.

Surprised they have any AC units left. Would have thought they might have all gone out by now. Should be a good year. Recent weakness has been a little puzzling.

Nice blog this morning, sounds very promising. London temps now around 26C but looks like they could go up to 30C-32C again by the weekend and into next week. That'll take them onto another level re amount out on hire. Europe is pretty hot too so they should be doing OK there as well. Only possible downside would be on the pump side I suppose although they have their uses, even in droughts. Anyway, the aircon side will easily offset that. Probably the best summer for them since 2003 and maybe way back further if it goes on beyond the next few weeks. Share price is still pretty weak for some reason but we may have to wait until the interims before people really latch on to what is going on.

For some weird reason the share price seldom reacts short term to favourable weather. But yes, you are quite right.

Wish I had some spare cash as this company are going to motor over the next few weeks. The heatwave (plus mini heatwaves prior to it) has now taken hold and everyone knows about it. The next few weeks look pretty much the same so it got to be the best spell they've had for many years. Keep watching their blogs and see what they say about it.

That's why I've been with this co for 21yrs. It's been interesting seeing how the weather has affected their business, but it's also been nice to see the co become more efficient and modern.
