A reminder.
'Andrada will begin pilot production of Lithium in the current year (2023) when they will become the only lithium producing miner on AIM. As the Lithium is mined as a by-product of the Tin mine – Andrada will have one of the lowest AISC profiles of any company mining and selling lithium. The Lithium will essentially be produced for free!' |
Apols if already posted. |
'Andrada has initiated a geo-metallurgical resource characterisation program to investigate the mineral variability of its Uis resources. The programme has generated 10 tonnes of material comprising samples from more than 1000 meters of large diameter drill core. #metallurgy' Image |
Cheers will have a look. |
You might also be interested in the hard copy of his study. Some of the maps and photographs are particularly interesting since they give you some idea of scale.
Most of the work in this study was done 2017/18 and the focus is clearly tin. It would be interesting to see what the author would make of Uis now that the spotlight is shining on the lithium.

Is this the preferred thread?
edit
I see the other one is for charts. |
Good find TDTThanks |
This a bit on the technical side but at least its relevant.
TDT |
Chart wise it looks to me that we will stretch well beyond 8p when we get going.
BWDIK.
IMO |
I see that the last two sells are worth about 80£ each.

That is amazing and ironic 300tuk.
But China has adopted so many assets along the way by stealth, before the falling out,so I guess it ought not to surprise.
Puts us in a good position then!

 Thacker Pass, McDermitt caldera
"...Construction began in March 2023 after an emergency appeal was denied by the court. The project site would cover 18,000 acres (7,300 ha), with less than 6,000 acres (2,400 ha) of that being mined, on a site 21 miles (34 km) west-northwest of Orovada, Nevada within the McDermitt Caldera.[ The mine is a project of Lithium Nevada, LLC - a wholly owned subsidiary of Lithium Americas Corp, whose largest shareholder is the world's largest lithium mining company, Chinese Ganfeng Lithium. At full capacity it would produce 66,000 tons annually, equivalent to 25% of the current (2021) demand for lithium globally, which is expected to triple over the next five years... In late January 2023, car giant General Motors announced it would invest $650M in the mine project, giving GM exclusive access to the first phase of production..."
Ironically the Chinese benefit most as the largest shareholders.
Incidentally, anywhere where magma has flowed can be good for concentrating minerals nearer the earth's surface as the magma can dissolve minerals then have it settle in concentrated pools as the magma cools , so areas of volcanic activity can be quite good. This was the basis of Kalahari Minerals exploring the Kalahari suture zone which eventually came to nothing, but showed in detail how magma can move materials to create deposits. |
I think it bodes very well for us here the fact that they were even looking in an extinct volcano!
They still want this material. |
A late reported trade first thing by the look of it.
Actually it looks like a roll over from yesterday morning? |
Interesting 300tuk. |
Big news that a super massive lithium deposit has potentially been found in a collapsed extinct US volcano, the McDermitt caldera, though only basic assays done so far.
This news might be fueled by a lot of hot air from the US to counter the Chinese dominance on lithium as you also need processing capacity and cell manufacturers. Some believe only a fraction could be economically viable, though even that will have major political backing.
Protesters say mining would destroy the sacred tribal landscape, though payments to the tribes might make that go away given the economic and political pressures for a home grown supply.
At least ATM should have our lithium for free if the tin pays all the bills, and lithium will still be needed from all over. |
What a frustrating day !
Haven't been able to follow any of my interesting shares properly.
The internet kept failing.
8-( |
This is only just getting started!
IMO |
Buy on rumour, sell on news brigade loading up waiting for lithium news? |
Miles better a steady rise though, martin, feels as though it's more likely to keep those gains. |
apart from the fact you cant buy last few days........ |
It is a brilliant spread for a penny share, too. |
I see people are having to pay a bit more on the offer.
That's a good sign. |
To contribute to sogoesit's posts 439 and 475. I note that a hub is being created in Cornwall, that covers lithium and tin. CUSN deals with the copper and tin and a privately owned company Cornish Lithium obviously covers the lithium.
Clearly size wise they cannot be compared to Kazakstan but none the less if you ask for peers, they are in that category. For transparency I have a small holding in CUSN which does have an arrangement with CL.
Again as Sogoes intimates, will these poorer prices get bigger further down the line? We will have to wait to see.
I am pleased to have found this one though and a very helpful board. |
