11/5/2021 07:46 | Amazing how the snakes turn up when an RNS isn't perfect. So predictable lol.Vote was an overwhelming victory. FCA only giving their 2p as they got mauled by the govt for not blocking the scheme in the first instance, so this is now a PR stunt to save face. Judge will not block a 95% majority. That is circa 75k customers in favour of redress. Tweaks maybe required to the scheme, but nothing more imo. | bearnecessities
11/5/2021 07:46 | roller coaster this.... glad the vote got through. | gripfit
11/5/2021 07:42 | Leon, tbh u r a massive ramper usually from lse re posts though - for balance. | heatseek77
11/5/2021 07:40 | fca oppose on basis of scheme not being generous enough, not the scheme in principal. | spirito
11/5/2021 07:39 | Amazing how the naysayers climb out from under their rock so quickly. | djstevens8614
11/5/2021 07:39 | I wouldn’t worry about this. The FCA had the opportunity to raise its concerns at the first court hearing and chose not to. To now come forward at the second hearing after the vote would not be looked on favourably by any judge. The clear intention (in my opinion) of the FCA is to try and strong arm Amigo in to putting up more cash for compensation, but this is something we all expected anyways. The only thing that has changed here is the major (unpredictable) variable, the customers vote, which has sailed through at 95%. | ck1632
11/5/2021 07:39 | I've made money here I'm happy I've been waiting for this news on the side lines ... we'll see what 8am brings shall we ;) I'd say off experience if you didn't bank profits you'll regret it ? | g2theary
11/5/2021 07:38 | Your not on the HUR thread now ! | amaretto1
11/5/2021 07:35 | G2t, you have appeared on this BB a number of times and a relentless, transparent position poster. You are itching to buy...just so newbies are aware. | leoneobull
11/5/2021 07:35 | Leon re 605 says not participating in meeting 12th but are on 19th in court bummer tbh always thought they'd ask for more money out of us Amigos to stay a float - so amaretto not telling us something we don't know! G2 good luck with 10p 🤷🏼 It's not great this morning typical Amigo like autumn 2020 all over again 😂😂 | heatseek77

11/5/2021 07:29 | FCA looking for a bigger contribution from future profits. Hardly a shocking revelation. | mattafc
11/5/2021 07:29 | It does mean they aren't going bust as quick but market won't like this news IMO :) | g2theary
11/5/2021 07:28 | It was already priced in ... FCA back in the picture ... I'll buy some back at 18p :) may wait for the 10p but I tend to be inpatient :) | g2theary
11/5/2021 07:24 | NSF is a much safer bet IMHO. | alancapone
11/5/2021 07:24 | Is everyone missing the 95% vote success or something??? Not sure why everyone is jumping on the partial news of the FCA finally declaring they oppose it, even though we knew they did anyway. I'm more confident than I was before 7am this morning, the vote was the stumbling block for me. If the vote was close and the FCA opposed I'd be worried. But 95%!!! How can a court go against that? | djstevens8614

11/5/2021 07:22 | Brooksy08 , LSEPrice: 29.50No OpinionLandslide victoryToday 07:21Great news for amigo in terms of voting, I think everybody expected slight tweaks in redress. "FCA believes it isn't fair in its current form" reads as if they are after a few tweaks rather than trying to take down the scheme | leoneobull
11/5/2021 07:21 | Back to 6p it is then. Getting out at 8:01 | baconlover
11/5/2021 07:21 | Whilst it is worrying the FCA oppose the scheme, as per previous statements by them in the Guardian, they cannot legally block it and 95% voted in favour. Moreover, the FCA are sending legal counsel but not going to participate themselves. Is that political theatre to deter other dodgy loan firms from following the same route, whilst tacitly accepting there is nothing they can do to block the SoA? | leoneobull
11/5/2021 07:20 | dont think it will be just large shareholders and dont think cash, just higher share of future profits. | spirito
11/5/2021 07:19 | Because the 95 percent voteWas told Amigo will go bust if they don't agree....FCA want large share holders to stump up some cash !!!Simple | amaretto1
11/5/2021 07:18 | From LSERE: RNSToday 07:15"I m not worried as the FCA are even turning up. This is political theater as the FCA are under scrutiny themselves. The legal team will have a dtrong argument here namely the shareholders are putting in 15% and we may ne asked to up that ro 20% by the court to sanction it. The overwhelming vote tells me the court will sanction this but fca may yet force adjustments." | leoneobull
11/5/2021 07:16 | king kong dong. Read my post again before trying to patronise me. I obviously read the whole thing. What I'm saying is despite the FCA opposing why would the court go against the will of 95% of those that voted? I personally think there has been so much pressure on the FCA to oppose that this almost seems like they had to do something to show their hand. Too late in my opinion. | djstevens8614 |
