The Plat-25 M2 sand derisks put-12, and put-12 has huge potential. See slide 20 here:

Two drills were due on Put-12 in Q4, but may have been delayed due to social unrest. Has anyone seen updates on this?

No direct correlation as such but I was referring to the possible impact on a strengthening US$. This certainly tends to depress the pm price and I would have thought most commodities priced in US$ would also be affected. Having said that if a given commodity has other major supply/demand factors at play the impact might be minimal.

The crime is quite clearly continually banging on about a virtually non-existent seller, in order to manipulate the market.

Whilst not itself containing spectacular news, this was a very good RNS in that the company are (finally) delivering on promises.

Plat 25 was an exploration/producer and we needed a successful sidetrack for the production aspect to "pay its way" so to speak.

That it has done, accessing a 22ft net oil column in the U sand as opposed to the 10ft pre side track. Furthermore, because the side track achieved the stated objective, it is confirmation of the company's understanding of this northern step out area and of the new pay zones, M2 and N sands, over the wider area (and will assist in recalculating the reserves).

We also have confirmation that Plat 27 is next and the expectation generated by the RNS is that they will go for the sweet spot, just to add production: the data from Plat 22 and Plat 21 making this possible.

Boris, for your information, there has been no correlation whatsoever between POO and precious metals over the last year (or indeed, the last 100 years): drivers and manipulators are entirely different and the latter is key for POO at this moment in time: SA has the dominant production position and will squeeze supply (with or without OPEC support)to fix prices for the Aramco disposal, scheduled for next year.

Shame to see some of the usual suspects trying to deramp.....get a life this a good investment! Either buy or buggar off please ;-) the news is good and the big news is coming!! I wouldn't want to miss out on that rise! Lots more news coming, today was a good start imo :))

Good grief I'm sick of this b.s. anyone would think selling shares is a crime reading the posts on here restating the bleeding obvious. If there's a seller and you want to buy, rejoice in the bargains to be had. It's not news or comment worthy just what markets do.........all the time.

Well if it is going to break 18.50 i'd say today might be the day. Rns out, lackluster response so not easy to sell in to. If RH is looking to expedite then a pick up in selling would see it breakdown. Volume though not up to much at the mo.

Something seems sadly wrong here even with today's good news and with more to come the share price will not move yet in March it was 26p could it be that the seller is still offloading in the background?.

I've got some of course ; just need the seller out of the way ; has a move to 30p in it i would think (NRI); a firmer oil price and continued decent news required.

Well i'd say judging by the volume it's just not what the market wants to know at this stage. As usual it's all about the money - a decent monthly production update and an improving oil price should see a markedly better response.

If you truly believe in the co. and it's ops though you should treat it as a buying op since the market isn't applying any added value. These anomalies are handy for making a few bob.

Once again the market seeths with indifference in response to an Amerisur oil find. The share price will probably fall back by the end of the day, going by previous experience.

It has good momentun started!

They know that more oil is coming for sure.
Hence direcors buy in quantity
and even
Rex might wait or pause for a while due to the news (or slow down his selling) to get more out of it.

Next few months if the world does not start going wrong amer is no brainer. It only how much?

Is he saying the 5’of oil found in M2 sand is a current production opportunity, or a just marker for other drills? Anyone know what M2 sand is..?

I also wonder how the additional product goes through the OBA, when previously oil produced was being stored locally due to over capacity for the pipe?

Good result, more oil to be added to production ramp up and OBA! The most important thing about the RNS is that the rest of platanillo looks certain to deliver a lot more oil to the ever increasing production total and will definately give a nice increase to reserves :)))
