The video that was put together by my son features the community spirit that exists in the valleys.

That evening we were turned away by the police some 10 miles away from Aberfan as they could not cope with all the volunteers that turned out to dig those poor kids out of the slurry!!

I was there just 2 weeks before it happened. My girlfriend (at the time) had friends of the family who lived there, and we went there to visit for the day (from Bristol). Then I was absolutely stunned to see it on the news. One of the saddest times ever.

I remember as a teenager watching horrified with my mum as the aftermath of the shocking tragedy of Aberfan unfolded via the BBC. A terrible event that should never have happened. The little cemetery and the garden look beautifully maintained. Very sad.

thanks FA

When the market knows a position is to be taken either buy or sell then that's often when the fun starts.

boris. Incorrect.

RH notified Amerisur when his holding dropped from 14 to 8% on 27/6/2016?

This also makes a mockery of suggesting no obligation to inform because he is overseas and puts into real doubt that there has been any intention not to comply with the rules, as otherwise why notify in June 2016.

It's all about whether a transaction has settled. If it is then he has to inform. He informed 27/6/16 because that transaction had settled.

Since then no notification but verification via the Company Registrar, suggesting to me at least he issued a single transaction that had not settled otherwise he would have notified like he has on purchases and sales previously.

Academic now as even if it was a single transaction we know from registrars he had less than 6% left and probably reduced from that if the short has been taken off and why in my opinion Amerisur are getting a lot more comment from analysts, as no point doing that if they knew a big sell was taking place.

Would not surprise me to get an institution buying up a block now, or a would be predator or even a buy back as my guesstimate is £10m would do it, IF his transaction not yet settled was for ALL of his remaining shares and that is anyone's guess.

It's in his interest to get the best price so I don't buy the story he is doing it as a protest even If they are associated and may well have fallen out with GC JW over something like remuneration options
If so it's an expensive move because I see these being £2 in a few yrs

Rex reporting or not reporting is a dead end imo
Yes there is a requirement but if he is based overseas then there is no actual way to take him to task as far as I know he cannot be prosecuted as aim has no power for overseas residents. Imo

I think he was dumping his stock just so's couple of the bod could by in on the cheap.
Assuming they knew who was doing the dumping and the likely effect on the share price could that be considered insider trading????

The holdings rns came out after their purchases. A bit whiffy.

Anyway some may have noticed those 5 fig sells popping up frequently and very unusual sums. No rounding. Looks like disguised trades from someone offloading.

As long as there continues to be some buying demand the share price will hold up even into RH 's offloading. The problem arises if RH accelerates the process or the buying demand begins to wane.
The latter may begin today or early next week.
Volume already today is not so great.

He can't be a forced seller. Think about it.

His selling of Amerisur commenced months and months ago, and if it was a single transaction which it certainly looks like with no announcement so far from him, which contrary to what some suggest he is still required to do whether overseas or not as I posted the rules on disclosure some time ago.

Don't forget it was only the company registrar that confirmed his selling at all significantly after the event initially after the company were informed he was selling.

So if he was a forced seller why on earth would he then in June 2016 announce a holding in Pantheon of 5.99% with no indication he owned any previously

Note that if he was not required to do holdings announcement because he was not in UK, then it didn't stop him with announcing his holding in Pantheon....why? Because it was a settled transaction.

I think a few posters here have misunderstood the strategy and one I think is very keen to get in at a lower level ;) good luck with that. Platanillo25 is a step out directional well and has actually given a very nice outcome as supports the view that there is a significant further upside in the Platanillo field.

For me, Platanillo27 and results of the Mariposa-1 will be the game changers and expect the share price to be north of 25 just before or on those, poss much higher.

I do think RH is a forced seller but there will be much higher vol/demand in the coming mths and he will be finished and Once we get that news it's going to rocket. Patience is the name of the game here and is going to be well rewarded. Cheap as chips under 25p

That's still a lot of stock to dump and it'd be nice to get a decent price...

Boris
think you have it wrong. Reason companies are covering Amerisur more and more is because they know the selling is finite.

its not to assist dumping of shares as they could have done that months and months ago but most didn't and dropped their targets because they knew of the major seller.

with less than 6% now, any remainder could be snapped in a buy back, bought by institution, a potential predator or just the City loading up on the shares they undoubtedly sold into to help the share price smash.

motley fool aswell!!!

It's definitely starting to look like the less than quality investment rags are being primed to pump amer...
Why?
Coz someone has a sh*tload of stock to dump...
Seen this before with other stocks especially AIM oilers.
Two scenarios -
- a long drawn out slow grinding trickle of an offload which will suppress the share price and relies on good news rns to sell in to.
- a relatively quick offload accelerating the process whenever possible but will likely result in a spike down at the final clearance. This would certainly suit parties looking to pick stock up on the cheap as it will inevitably trigger stops I'd expect a kinda 'flash crash'. Price in this scenario less important than the time it takes to dump. The reasons for exiting we may never know but could well be a cash call elsewhere or a housekeeping exercise.

Think I know which one i'd go for...
