Wow how bloody disappointing.

but then given the share price never took off in any meaningful way we all suspected this outcome..

Directors only ever look after theirselves in any company more so on this market.

I hope for those sitting tight that a dark horse does appear, but it feels like a done deal to me, hence having baled out at a discount price. Thoughts that our beloved directors are somehow playing a blinder are too fanciful for me.

I did think many of the figures being quoted by some posters were complete pie in the sky, however I did firmly believe that we'd be looking at 25p or thereabouts (which would still have grossly undervalued the company).

Disgraceful result from GC...........

Pretty slim chance of a higher offer coming in I'd have thought, but never say
never!

I would have thought they'll easily get the required 75% if no counter bid is tabled before the vote. I'd rather have 19p than back to 12p whatever the long term potential (which BoD have so far failed to deliver).

Remember at these prices we were told to sit tight basically in the RNSs of previous.. there is more to this imo

Could this be setting the gauntlet for another bidder now it's in black and white maybe OXY will over Big like last time and this is to prove the board are serious about moving it along making other bidders get serious

Hard to see the deal not completing.....so buying at 18.9p or below gives a small turn

Have we got it all wrong? Is this masterful stroke by BoD?

Mich forced this and were allegedly going to vote against GC reelection.

GC complied by agreeing to go through FSP and similar with Ironveld.

Repeated comments from posters alleging share price was being managed and no apparent attempts by Amer to improve that situation and further multiple missed targets on lead up to FSP.

Perhaps just perhaps this is GC’s game to outfox mich

FSP starts off after derisory bid of 17p and comments it materially undervalued Amerisur but nothing from Amerisur to demonstrate it in terms of drilling or in terms of cashpile that should have swollen by the fully funded drills not taking place.

GC has done what mich forced. Bid still derisory with help from Amerisur lack of progress but GC and board can legitimately claim to have done all in their power to support the bid but knowing bid is pathetic.

Goes to vote gets mich and cannacord shares plus BOD’s but fails to get anywhere near enough shares from holders.

GC has abided by mich’s ‘request’; but bid fails leaving Amer to them undertake drilling with its partners with GC outfoxing mich

Hugely disappointing. I would guess that nobody here will touch anything involving these shysters, Clarke and Wardle, ever again. Unfortunately, at present, I still have a loss-making "investment" in another of their "gems", KZG.

They really have nowhere to hide given their description of the first offer of 17p as "materially undervaluing" the company and their recent advice to shareholders to desist from selling. Both signs that we should have expected a final offer in the region of 25p at least. They are also coming it a bit by comparing this latest offer with the level of the share price before the FSP was announced and trying to dress it up as some kind of wonderful achievement. It had only reached that level in the first place through an extended period of operational inaction, missed deadlines and extremely poor communications from the BOD.

If this sale goes through and it later transpires that Clarke or Wardle have any kind of future involvement with the bidding company then the full weight of the financial authorities will need to be brought upon them. I doubt that they are as stupid as they are incompetent to even contemplate such a situation but if they did, then Clarke could be watching next summer's cricket from his prison cell.

I was quite underwater earlier in the year.I've only been in 3 years but spent virtually all of that in a loss state. Recently I expected and hoped more but if you'd told me 6 months ago I'd be 10% up on my total investment.I'd have taken your hand off!Good luck everybody but I'm out of here.

Some very lumpy buys going through - can GeoPark buy open market shares now the news is out or do they now have to wait?I'm thinking there's a spoiler in the mix.

Had a look at LTIP awards for 2018... 16.6p... wonder where M&P got their bid price from?

And yet 17p materially undervalues the company, which in theory means the management should have been able to hit their LTIP targets by achieving nothing.

I guess that kinda worked out for them.
