You can understand ONGC not wanting to prove up the resource in the face of bidding for Amerisur

Would this not be the case only if ONGC were interested in bidding themselves?

Everything stopped when the bid period started, by agreement I suppose. Not even a contract signing for the 3rd party oil, which would have happened if not in a bid situation I'm sure.

Hang in there guy’s as the good times are coming , they tried today to get nervous investors to hit the sale button but it didn’t work with me. I was pleased to buy at prices I thought we never see again & now its time to let Amer go as there are no nervous investors left only ones who are waiting for the end game !!!

I doubt the start of the cricket season will make any difference to any deal either way but hope you're right about multiple bidders :)

What is certain is AMER will once again fail to deliver on drilling plans and predicted production increases this year. Another year wasted and opportunities to enhance value of the business through drilling go begging. Indico-2 should have been drilled this quarter.

Rolledthedice, I am fairly sure there are at least two bidders or at least
very interested parties. Meetings have been taking place both Bogata and UK.
The Cricket season start in sunny climes in a week or two, do you think GC would prefer to be in Cardiff or South Africa??

I think the board should provide an update even if its just to say things are still on track for a 2019 finalisation of sale. The radio silence is so frustrating.

Investers getting fed up with the wait or things not going to plan which ever way I like many others getting fed up with the delay been let down many times in the past with false promises from the board so is this going to be any different?.

Shame the 19p hasn't held, dripping lower as usual pending news... meanwhile AMER are seemingly doing s*d all operationally.

Even if a bid is formally made I doubt price will be a crowd pleaser.

Well surely news has to come soon as it will require shareholder approval, even if the news is to say that we need to go beyond 2019 with the FSP. Would expect/hope something this week.
