Different considerations at company and asset level sale.

ONGC's partner is still Petrodorado, whether held by AMER or anyone else.

It changes completely if CPO-5 is to be sold out of that company (as was Put 8 by Vetra).

It is quite complicated, as some of AMER's acquisitions have been companies and some just assets, such as Put 8.

Everyone with above 1% that is not involved in a possible offer for the company or its assets has to outline their position under the takeover rules (8.3). There will be a lot of them and doesnt really affect anything, other than outlining those firms not participating in a possible offer for the company.

ROFR might apply to the sale of the specific asset, but not to the sale of the company and CPO-5 was a company purchase, complete with tax losses (and bundled up with other assets).

.... I was responding to a post about the sale of the CPO-5 licence. It's irrelevant how AMER acquired the licence..... there'll be an agreement between the 2 entities that hold CPO-5.... an ONGC company & an AMER subsidiary .

Sale of the company also appears to bypass ANH approval as well (Loto 1 just rolled on at the time of our take out of Petrodorado and no riders on "waiting for approval").

Have taken a serious position here today on the strength of the chart and news
20p is next significant resistance, I think a push thro on good vol will be the next bullish signal. Could easily come this week on a revised or competitor bid

ONGC has (over)extended itself in recent years, so we shouldn’t assume they are in a position to cough up for Amer’s 30% on demand.

They won't let us sell the CPO5 interest on the cheap, unless it's sold to them.

...It would be in ONGC's interest were AMER to sell CPO-5 "on the cheap", assuming they have pre-emption rights.
