Good move by Wardle but this could leave us tight with cash specially if they carry on taking so bloody long with drill also cant see them drilling another five at this rate need another 1 maybe 2 more rigs quick time

well here's the answer to who owns, not to whether they can still drill..

Ecopetrol (48%) and consortium Energy (52%). This consortium, in turn, is formed by Canadian firm Suroco, which holds 30.4%, giving it a 15.8% stake in the Suroriente block, and local company Vetra, which is the operator of the block by virtue of its 69.5% majority stake in the consortium.

Hm... I wonder whether this scuppers the drilling of Miraparriba-1 - who owns the Suroriente block?

...drill the Miraparriba-1 well from the Cohembi-2 pad, an existing pad located in the adjacent Suroriente block. Miraparriba-1 will be drilled as a directional well to the Miraparriba structure within the Put-8 block. This agreement removes the requirement to obtain an environmental licence for the drilling of the well, thus reducing the time before drilling can occur...

AMER were not operators, and now they are, so hopefully they will now follow through with the intended Q2 drilling. There was something wrong with their partners - drilling kept being put off.

N sand was I believe the main attraction of Put 8. Evidently the recent setback in Platanillo did not put them off since they are paying a fair whack compared to other recent purchases.

Put-8 North: P50 4MMBO (net) recoverable
Put-8 South: 2D analysis indicates a very large N Sand amplitude anomaly >150MMBO

Edit: for completeness I should say that the N sand reference above is from April 2016 - not sure whether it has been referenced recently.

Yes it makes sense given the proximity to the OBA pipeline and won't break the bank.

Are they twin sisters?

Maybe a reason that there is a seller but I picked up another 50k under 16.9p this morning and looking to average up if we clear 17p. One of the best upside investments I've seen in a long time.

Edit - take it you enjoyed the Rugby at weekend tgg, I married a Welsh Evans couple years ago who rather enjoyed it!

As I don’t know when these folks make announcements I am not sure swerves.
On Indico they announced after the final o/h logging and logging shouldn’t take more than 48 hours assuming no equipment or hole problems.
Maybe we’re mis-estimating time to TD?
It’s a deviated well. It’s also possible they drilled to TD then plugged back in order to intersect the reservoir vertically and then log again. There are many permutations of strategy.
Or simply the geologists/geophysicists are LIH (Lost in Hole)... which happens more frequently than folks imagine ;-)
