We should get a hint about that with the Q4 numbers. The loan is repayable in instalments over a term of six and a half years and bears interest at 6%.
No mention of whether it is secured against the assets or not.

Thank you. Any idea how quickly the $40m would take to pay itself back (or for that investment to start generating cashflow)?

Mkt cap of £30m with a $40m loan to service, churning out cash with a PE of 2 and a TW sell recommendation way lower than today's share price from last June.

Low cost low mkt cap producer with a large low interest loan and big plans, gold prices very supportive, Kazakhstan government on board, long LOM, large assets, very prudently managed even if they are aloof.

Lovely looking company this one.

The $40m is to get Seki phase 2 developed, and that is ongoing over two years.

At TS they submitted "plans for future development of the site, with proposals being sent into the government department in July 2022, these are currently being reviewed. The initial exploration phase requested is three years, but the Company is anticipating a move to production within this period once more detailed studies have been carried out on the approach to develop the site and define the ore bodies."

So, a "move to production...once more detailed studies have been carried out" over the next three years, then a production license will be required, and $75m.

Can they get there using their loan and fcf and maybe once they're working the current mine move onto the next and borrow a bit more

That there is a billion dollar company!

However, until the $75m question is clarified, exactly how do we intend to raise it, we can't really move on from here...

When we see the TS development plan, green light from authorities, CPR or DFS, funding quantified and sourced, ALTN will be a totally different proposition!

The capex required as outlined above amounts to US$38m, and will be ...largely met from funds raised from operations.

We borrowed $40m, and of course prices and fcf can vary, so how much of this $40m can be put towards TS funding to reduce the $75m requirement?

Exciting times ahead.

The longer term aim is to increase the ore extraction towards the 2mtpa within a time frame of 6 years.

The capex required as outlined above amounts to US$38m, and will be largely met from funds raised from operations. In addition to this an amount of US$75m will be required to bring the Teren-Sai project on stream, as it will require new processing facilities and infrastructure to be developed at the Teren-Sai site. In the initial period the site will be stripped and made ready for open pit production in order to move to production efficiently once the necessary funding is in place. The brokers who are providing sponsored research and opening up opportunities for investor funding will play a key role in moving the projects forward.

The Board are constantly looking to diversify and invest in new and complementary operations in Kazakhstan and internationally, however the primary driver at present is to bring the Kazakhstan gold sites, as outlined above, to their full potential.

Wow, massive volume!

Surprised it didn't overshadow the one year celebrations of the Ukraine war on the BBC today.

AltynGold’s CEO Aidar Assaubayev commented:

“Securing the development funding at attractive terms, indicates our partners’ confidence in the prospects of AltynGold. We are now in a position to implement the expansion plan towards 1mtpa production within two years in line with our strategic growth plan. Achieving this milestone will significantly increase shareholders value and set the stage for a sustainable dividend policy.”

I'm sure it'll work out fine. It's in the interests of management to run this properly as they're the biggest shareholders.

You got it, Dofmeister!
The difference is ALTN have the production numbers but won't inform shareholders.
EQT can't inform the market of COD if the plant is not in a steady state of electricity production.

The accountant will be looking very closely at the highlighted shady dealings of last year because their reputation is on the line if they mess it up.

As always with QD they'll stick by what the rules of what has to be delivered and do so when suits them or at the last possible minute. This quarter is effectively finalizing the accounts. There's a new accountancy firm there so no doubt there's a lot of work to be done. The main concern of the management is to develop the mines which will bring long term value. I doubt they are too worried Abt day to day fluctuations which affect day traders more than than long term investors, rightly or wrongly

Q4 production report 3 weeks late now and counting.
It seems the Q4 report has been cancelled?
Why?
Has an earthquake written off the mine and the entire BOD in one go?

In 5 weeks we will be at the end of the next quarter. Q1/23.

I prefer the 3 to 5 year waits.

For me ALTN is longer term than I initially hoped, so add another couple of years.

We are at the start of phase 2, upgrade of Seki to max, and phase 3 couple run parallel if TS gets a move on.

We're funded for ph2 but not ph3 so we'll have to wait and see how they plan to fund this going forward, and if it's from fcf.

I think it's hard to tell anything with charts here as the volume is so low. There are a few pple on this board who if they dumped their holdings, the price would plummet and if they doubled them, price would go through the roof. I see this share as a long term play. They'll develop the next mine, anyone who buys now will get in for less than Altns profits will be in a year given future development then they start paying dividends and then price goes through the roof. I wish well to day/weekly traders but I've never succeeded there myself.

Chart here looks very bearish unfortunately, no real support until the £1 region.

RSI sits around 40 so still not in oversold territory either.

12 month low was 72p in November.

Is tomorrow the day?

Not really expecting anything sensational, just broadly as before, but just one quarters production more than justifies our current share price
