04/1/2023 08:46 | Yes agree news on TS should be worth the wait. I don't have L2 anymore but doubt there is much stock to be had under 100p. Any amount of buying will start seeing this tick up quite regularly imo. GLA | wrighty46
04/1/2023 08:32 | It is worth reading the last few reports to get a feel for TS. There seems to be multiple areas where they could open pit, using processing equipment kept in storage to keep costs down, maybe 3 open pits, them moving underground in due course. | excellance
04/1/2023 08:12 | Don't forget they are awaiting news on TS and will be making an investment decision on that soon. This could be the next major news for ALTN. At Seki the current phase is about opening up further access to the mine, with ventilation and ramps, but the processing capacity is already 850kt pa so there should be little or no lost time for commissioning. Exciting times ahead. | excellance
03/1/2023 18:28 | Evening all, reading through the posts and doing 10 mins of digging, a £4-£6 share price will imo be on the cheap side in 3 years or do with a sustainable dividend in place. The family imo have seen that a dividend in the future is the best way to capitalise on there holding with almost zero risk to themselves. I'm along for the ride. My only issue is how long they may have to shut the plane down for the upgrades to take place. Although forward looking the increase in throughput will be the game changer. £1.14 very soon then £2 shortly after imo. NAI glad. And happy new year. 2023 and 2024 will be transformational here imo. Enjoy the ride. | wrighty46
03/1/2023 16:46 | What's with all those silly bot trades? | excellance
03/1/2023 16:37 | More reason to get exposure to gold, either directly with sovs or via mining. | excellance
03/1/2023 16:36 | We still haven't "normalised" and I'm not sure we ever will, now they've discovered a money tree. | excellance
03/1/2023 16:32 | NIRP and ZIRP were disastrous policies designed to artificially lower national debt interest payments and in doing so trapping some with the false belief that these low interest rates were the norm.Inflated house prices with ever higher debt and causing many with savings to lose the lot to scammers and ever more risky investments. | pensionplanner
03/1/2023 16:32 | ALTN have an excellent asset, a robust balance sheet, low cost operation, sound management who are delivering, in the right sector, and big growth possibilities. But it's in Kazakhstan, the controlling family hold too much power, and they did have a shady background many years ago. Mostly good points, a few bas ones too, and then there's the war... | excellance
03/1/2023 16:20 | What amazes me is that some people still expect a "pivot" and a return to ZIRP. Rates will keep rising, we are still behind the curve, so rates have to go further, and that's bad for a lot of growth companies with lots of debt. ALTN have very a reasonable debt burden and good terms, but it all depends on the price of gold. | excellance
03/1/2023 16:10 | It all depends on the price of gold, and oil. The ECB are apparently planning some big rate rises in Q1, in an increasingly recessionary environment. Gold should cruise to $2200-$2500 I think. | excellance
03/1/2023 16:06 | In 2020 the share price increased x4 in short pace ALTN now in very robust shape so advances in share price should be swift. | golden prospect
03/1/2023 15:54 | If £2 was the extent I'd be disappointed. With its fundamentals and if rated like other gold producers could be 4 times that longer term | pensionplanner
03/1/2023 15:26 | Don't mention the war. | sleveen
03/1/2023 15:15 | Don't forget the war! | bsg
03/1/2023 15:11 | Have bought in here today, the outlook for gold is very bullish, as someone pointed out the lowest valued gold producer on the UK stock market - the Chip GOLD ADVFN thread has constantly demonstrated this. I have seen broker target prices of £4 a few years back, to me the company has more than delivered on all fronts. You have to buy stocks like this when no-one is looking, this could easily be trading at £2 a share and still be cheap. | thecoyone
03/1/2023 13:55 | That's an interesting buy | excellance
03/1/2023 11:22 | I don't have communist sympathies or even empathies | excellance
03/1/2023 11:13 | excellence? This is a bb about ALTN. It's not a platform for your political views. If you have communist sympathies why are you dabbling in shares? That's capitalism. | papillon
03/1/2023 10:48 | If you look at Vietnam it gives me hope, that even after the US dropped more bombs there than in ww2, used napalm, agent orange, and carpet bombed fields and forest alike, and massacred entire villages, even invaded and bombed surrounding countries, and controlled the press, even after all of that they lost, yet Vietnam survived and is doing ok even with a communist regime in power, and welcomes tourists too, so I have to wonder at what the yanks were there for, what were they fighting for? Was it not just a cash cow for the military industrial complex? | excellance
03/1/2023 09:37 | Like all wars, its the bloody politicians not the people. | sleveen
03/1/2023 09:35 | Picked up more, and intend to do so as and when they are available. excellence. The loss of life even if 1 person on either side just demonstrates how wrong this war is, where even babies are killed in indiscriminate actions. Ukrainians and Russians were brothers and sisters, but I doubt they will ever be so again. Such a bloody shame in the true sense. | pensionplanner
03/1/2023 09:18 | If reports of 500 teenage conscripts killed by 6 US missiles at a vocational college in Donetsk at midnight on NYE are true, it's no wonder gold is up. Where does the war go from here? | excellance
03/1/2023 09:04 | As is the low volume | excellance |
