26/1/2023 16:18 | I'm stunned by the speed of the rerate. | sleveen
26/1/2023 16:15 | It’s simply a re rate imho (everyone has been banging on about how undervalued it is and rightly so). Earlier I posted £1.60 next week. Glad to amend to 1.80 next week? | mold breaker
26/1/2023 15:57 | Nothing available online - there appears to be a persistent buyer out there. | broken_arrow1
26/1/2023 15:25 | I doubt the family would ignore a bid at the right price...but it would have to be significantly higher than the current share price ...by multiples. At £10 they might give it some thought. Although quite frankly thus far the share price is not even what I consider to be at fair value, so we should not be surprised at it rising, as it was way undervalued so has a lot of catching up to do anyway | pensionplanner
26/1/2023 15:15 | I doubt it's a bid as they'd have to get agreement from the managing family first and the impression I have is they're in it for the long term. Aidar at the AGM was not unreasonably talking of $300m companies that weren't so different if my recollection serves me right. The value is there but the company just needs to keep building out. I think this really is a question of being patient to unlock the company's real value | researchcentre123
26/1/2023 14:51 | "Perhaps a bid from Poly ?? At what price though?" Sekisovskoye deposit = 3.47m ounces of Gold Teren-sai deposit = estimated 9m ounces of Gold *scratches head* £20 a share minimum please :) | king suarez
26/1/2023 14:47 | Someone has a insatiable appetite for any loose stock coming onto the market. | m1sterx
26/1/2023 14:38 | Perhaps a bid from Poly ?? At what price though? GLA. | bwana4
26/1/2023 14:26 | I think it's just general buying before results, still no real volume. A bit more than usual yes, but spotlight gradually shining on miners so interest bound to pick up. £3 may appear very quickly. And we still playing catchup. GLA | wrighty46
26/1/2023 14:04 | Q4 results due soon, should lift it even higher | trader465
26/1/2023 14:02 | It does look like that, bsg, especially as according to the RSI it has been overbought since the start of the year ALTN is my 2nd largest holding so I'm not complaining. If only my largest holding was not GPM! 😭 | papillon
26/1/2023 14:01 | Something seems to be driving this beyond your usual trading activity - corporate activity ? Under radar for most. | m1sterx
26/1/2023 13:52 | Almost as if a bid is coming. | bsg
26/1/2023 11:45 | From a charting perspective there is no near term resistance to £1.84p last attained on 3rd May 2021. | broken_arrow1
26/1/2023 11:33 | MiningLamp As you say the Co has performed better than expected....and with bits of our expansion going to be coming through in the next Quarters things look good for brokers targets to increase.... | goldrush
26/1/2023 11:26 | The broker note referred to above was very comprehensive and they suggested conservative, with gold above $1900oz no wonder the shares are being bought. I downloaded a copy, it was produced in June 2020 and the price target upgraded in January 2021 - the company has performed far better than expected since then. The main feature was the target price of £3.60p-£4.20p a share | mininglamp
26/1/2023 11:25 | This is still looks stupidly cheap! | someuwin
26/1/2023 11:09 | 143 vs 148 now.....we know there are no shares around so MM's have got to move up to attract some sellers....but who would sell now....not many I believe 😀😀 | goldrush
26/1/2023 11:06 | Looks like it is going to move up....143 on bid now ...so 143 bid vs 145 offer.... | goldrush
26/1/2023 10:15 | £1.60 next week? | mold breaker
26/1/2023 10:05 | Two years ago when this company was producing a third less gold and weaker financials a well respected broker produced a research note offering a mid point target price of £3.90p The market had no interest due to a worldwide sector demise, that has now changed, gold producers are now back in vogue. I would not be surprised to see ALTN outperform the market, it starts from a very low base, the PE is barely 3 verses a sector average of 8. At 1.40p the company is only valued at £38m verses the 2 year old broker target of £109m. It's cheap. | thecoyone
26/1/2023 09:38 | I think c£4 a share feels about right for the valuation of the company at the moment imo. I am invested in STCM, another company in Kazakhstan (cement producer). By comparison, STCM churn out around $20m FCF a year and have a market cap of just over £90m - difference is although they have a net cash position, the company is largely ex-growth, so just a high yield income stock now. ALTN has better growth prospects but its not yet producing the same level of FCF. If we apply a similar geographical risk discount then I really feel ALTN ought to be nearer £4 - a £100m market cap too - as I expect similar cash flow at the current production rate, albeit being re-invested into expansion rather than returned to shareholders at present. | king suarez
26/1/2023 09:19 | Going through the books for the last few years, unlike some companies the Directors remuneration here is positively meagre. The controlling interest of the family is hardly to reap amazing salaries, yet their management record has been very good. During that time a lot of community projects have been funded too, which is always helpful, but the family are in it for profit, as are we. I was at one stage concerned about it going private, but it no longer makes much sense, as they could have done that ages ago, and cannot be said to have paid themselves a fortune in the meantime. Their biggest potential is for dividends or a buy out, as its not so much the dividend as the effect on their personal shareholdings which would no doubt increase dramatically with any dividend and it does seem its the avowed intention to pay one when possible. Well if its not from very generous salaries and options, it has to be one of two things: Dividends or sale of the company. I suspect either could be a lot quicker than we may believe | pensionplanner
26/1/2023 08:18 | Online fixed price buy limits are the smallest for some considerable time with most retail brokers, only 750 available then it goes at best. Price strength looks to continue. | broken_arrow1
26/1/2023 07:53 | Worth noting the rise from 60p to £3 happened in just a few months back in Q1 2020. Could a move from 90p to £4+ happen in equally quick time now - it's possible. | goldenshread |
