That all sounds positive. Air Partner definitely seems to be the go-to UK business in situations like this. I also think they will be doing a lot more private jet charters for businesses.
I was talking to someone at the weekend who has a family member working for one of the main airports used by private jets (Northolt, maybe). Apparently it is super-busy.

Strikes me that Air Partner should be one of the companies doing well from the Coronavirus epidemic. They must be organising flights and there must be much greater use of private jets generally.
When is the next statement expected from the company?

A little bit of history. Castlefied have been a holder since their inception and prior to that Keith Ashworth-Lord published the Analyst Magazine with Jeremy Utton and it was a stock they followed. This leads me to believe that it is being sold due to continuous poor performance. I hold both investments, with regret in the case of Air Partner.

Diworsification has also helped in that respect.

Thanks - that could serve to keep a lid on the shareprice until they exit completely.

M. - it was their announced intention to sell all their holdings in small caps (they had three).

Castlefield Fund Partners have disposed of nearly 5m shares over the past 9 months, reducing their stake from 19.15% to 9.62%. If they continue to reduce their position, it would constitute an overhang which could depress the shareprice until it is cleared.

It's very likely that as AIR were involved in the repatriation of British citizens from Wuhan, they also flew back the passengers on the cruise ship in Japan.

There could be other opportunities arising from the Corona virus outbreak, which all helps make the forecasts more solid

Previously held this share for 3 years from July 15 to June 18 when I exited at just under 112p. Current price looks interesting value once more, as does the current yield at circa 7.6%, so it goes back onto my watchlist to review again once the Coronovirus problem comes under control.

"Outlook: One of just three analysts to track the stock, Canaccord cut its price target from 155p to 140p but remains by a wide margin the most bullish, versus a peer average of 120p. At just 7.8 times restated expected earnings the stock is at is cheapest in recent history, however." Citywire 24/2/20

Oh dear how could I be Venek? I outed the person who is using my old company name. Yes of course I am the founding director of Baines Simmons... I knew it will have taken a second to find out, as was in fact the case. I outed Venek, because you are being taken in by someone with a very binary view of AP and especially Baines Simmons... this had the potential for you to be influenced by someone who has an axe to grind and does not have a balanced view. I will now sign out. Good luck, Keven Baines

Perhaps it's time to all calm down and return to the normally boring AIR thread?

Dear trident5. Sadly for you I am not a current, former or future employee of any of these AP companies. I have no connection nor care either. To imply otherwise tells me more about you, that you probably are a current or former employee, and that you and ya pal are out to cause problems. Clearly you too (like me) have too much time on your hands. laugh out loud. Give it your best. TH1

We like the current employees to be working during office hours TH - not wasting inordinate time on social media. Especially the more senior ones.

No, i read it as Keven Baines outing Venek as a former employee. So I don’t think Venek is Keven Baines.

Frankly, I don’t care who Venek is. I have DM Venek .

And during working hours too!

Interesting discovery by Valhomos and sharw.
So Venek appears to be Keven John Baines who is an aviation safety consultant and was a director of Baines Simmons. Presumably, one of the two founders of the company. He resigned as a director of BS on 31 January 2017 about one year after the takeover by Air Partner.
Venek started posting here on 1 January 2019. Looking back through his posts it is clear that he had a lots of detailed information about BS that might not easily be available to an outsider and is also rather disgruntled.
What is interesting is that if Venek really is Keven Baines then he consistently gets the name of his own company wrong. You will notice that he writes Simmonds when the correct name is Simmons.
