19/2/2020 12:13 | I am not sure ADVFN is a place for bitter ex employees to pursue a personal vendetta or wage private war against their former employer. It’s neither amusing or entertaining, it’s just sad. | troll hunter1
19/2/2020 12:07 | What has venek said that is factually incorrect or misleading? Nothing! | vegas76
19/2/2020 10:32 | ...I don't think that is really correct. | pvb
19/2/2020 09:47 | I don't think his narrative has suited holders on here, inevitably it then just becomes a "shoot the messenger" response. | trident5
19/2/2020 09:06 | Personally I find Venek's contributions helpful. I can't understand why some folks have an issue, given the events the business over the last few years. | vegas76

18/2/2020 21:18 | I wouldn't know about 'insightful' but I have always found Venek's posts amusing and very entertaining. | valhamos
18/2/2020 21:14 | ...I did notice that Venek could be a Czech word, translates as "Outside" in English. | pvb
18/2/2020 21:00 | Venek is certainly an ex-employee with a significant chip on his shoulder. I am an ex-'employee' and I can offer that his Venek moniker is in-fact my (now defunct) company name, its an anagram of Keven! Interesting n'est pas? | 45703869
18/2/2020 17:21 | ...That isn't so much the point. So far on this thread we seem OK with the negative points raised by Venek. None of that silly arguing: "You are just short this and trying to talk the price down!" - especially silly when it's an FTSE 100 share (not AIR)! But surely you are intrigued why Venek appears so passionate - he really has a downer on Briffa! - when he says he doesn't hold the company and claims to have sold out before the problems started? He should then be very happy and off investing his profits elsewhere! | pvb
18/2/2020 16:32 | Do you not appreciate V's insights? Or would you prefer someone posting stuff you already know and agree with? | trident5
18/2/2020 15:55 | Most people just move on, when they sell shares Venek. Have you not bought shares in another company? It looks very unusual to keep posting about a share you've sold. | daz
18/2/2020 11:04 | trident5 18 Feb '20 - 05:54 - 1137 of 1137 PVB - it is quite interesting to follow. I don't hold either, but am fascinated about how things will unfold here. Fair enough. But Venek does seem more than commonly "interested" for somebody with no declared interest! And, as has been pointed out, apparently only in AIR. | pvb
18/2/2020 05:54 | PVB - it is quite interesting to follow. I don't hold either, but am fascinated about how things will unfold here. It was a very attractive investment opportunity a few years ago - but some questionable behaviours have set in - an unnecessary share split (costs shareholders money - no benefit whatsoever), accounting shenanigans, late filing at CH, diworsification etc. Venek's posts are very insightful, especially by the standards on here. | trident5
17/2/2020 23:41 | Venek 17 Feb '20 - 23:08 - 1135 of 1135 pvb I do wonder why you post on the AP board if you are not really interested in discussing AP. I wonder why you post on the AP board if, as you say, you do NOT have any interest. Odd, no? ;-) | pvb
17/2/2020 23:08 | pvb I do wonder why you post on the AP board if you are not really interested in discussing AP. In May 2019 Biffa told Proactive Investors "it has taken a time to get acquisitions like 2015’s Baines Simmons into the PLC mindset" whatever that means (and a bit rich from a PLC whose lack of regulatory compliance meant Companies House started the process to strike BS of the register last year) "but with the re-brand the pace should pick up". Nine months later that rebrand remains rather spottily executed and the latest trading statement sends share price tumbling. Proactive also reported "The idea is to leverage the customer base between charter and consulting & training." No one has ever explained how that might credibly work. Elton John hires a business jet and then buys airport security training?? An airline sends people on a safety management course at BS and the calls AP to hires a cargo plane to move spares because they recognise the logo?? That's would be like Jack Welsh claiming GE sold aero engines to airlines because the execs had a GE washing machine! | venek
17/2/2020 23:04 | ...So what did you invest in instead of AIR? | pvb
17/2/2020 23:02 | diku Paying over the odds to diversify struck me as odd at the time and just a smoke and mirrors attempt to keep the share price climbing. pvb Your are beginning to look like a rather childish bore. I repeat: "AP are such a soap opera, stumbling between scandals and set backs, not your usual staid FTSE company." | venek
17/2/2020 22:56 | ...But what IS your interest? In a company you say you now have no interest in. | pvb
17/2/2020 22:55 | "So what's your interest in them?" At least my interest is in the subject of this thread and evidence based. AP are such a soap opera, stumbling between scandals and set backs, not your usual staid FTSE company. | venek |
