Cheers Bogg1e, see you back here after the party.

Bluebelle, like you I am very pleased with AGK which has paid off handsomely the last few years. The future remains bright with lots of potential in growing economies. The only thing to watch out for is, if at some stage there is a serious global economic slowdown, that they don't get stuck with surplus capacity and massive debt. No serious threat of that happening for some time though!

I just love the way well intended words get spat back in your face on advfn. If you have nothing decent to say except cliches, please dont bother.

AGK uptrend now resumed? Looks like a rough and ready reverse head and shoulders has formed over the last few months:

all eyes now on the FED for the 19:15 news; I'll go for a 25bp cut, 50 and the market should go wild ;)

Thanks BH, funny how some only appear in order to critisise.

I'm not the one bragging about 30000 shares best ignored unless they would like to conrtibute to the discussions

Regards.

That's not true in my experience Peaeff's posts have been informed and worth reading. Do you have any views on Aggreko routs?

Me again, I just love the way you guys go on,this is a great company suffering from market vagaries.Compared to many other companies>
tell me another with their potential for future growth but with solid trading background.I have held 30 thousand shares since buying 3 years ago and estimate a potential of £6.50 by the end of this year.
For the informstion of any experts on this "blog"I do have a personal background in this sector and maybe know a thing or two!!

There's a lot of market uncertainty and volatility right now. I decided a while ago to move into quality stocks and out of second liners and more recently to stick with what I have for the time being - as I think they, including AGK - represent good value on fundamental grounds, rather than try and trade short term movements.

As ever, one's investment timescale is key to how you view a stock. Mine is essentially medium to long term, unless something significant makes me change my mind, so quite happy to ride out the current, what I believe to be, undervaluation by the market on AGK.

I agree with you whole heartedly and I am sure that is not an issue when wondering what on earth has caused this share to drop so much in the last 24 hours particularly in view of results and on the back of at least 4 broker 'buys'. An event like the olympics, or the hurricane season for that matter, is not something that can be filtered into the share price until we totally know the score on that front.

I noted just a couple of words of caution for the future in certain areas, which were far outweighed by management sentiment going forward, but the way these figures have been received is ridiculous. The volatility and severity of the recent trends are puzzling even with a retreating FTSE250.

As I have said before I can't see these shares remaining at these levels for long but you can bet that, if there is a sudden and concerted rise, it will be the mm's who grab most of the pot.

regards

peaeff
