10/7/2007 07:29 | There it is: Aggreko Becomes Temporary Power and Temperature Control Exclusive Supplier of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games | geovest
07/7/2007 15:45 | eipgam I took profits on Wednesday @ 600p which gave me yet another successful foray into AGK but I shall be looking to buy back a few extra if there is any pronounced drop in price. This share has been confounding SOME brokers for the last couple of years because they don't always get it right. That is why you end up with situations whereby 10 brokers say strong buy and 2 say sell. They all have there own ways of assessing stock. Me, I prefer to go with those who actually know MANAGEMENT. As I have posted before on here, in the distant past this board were very careful what was said and for most of the time underplayed their hand. So, when they tell me that they will comfortably excede expectations I tend to believe them. This is what they have been saying for the last two years and yet when the figures came out it was obvious that performance was even better than the price catered for. I am confident the same will apply this time and I would not be surprised to see another acquisition they have already said that the last one is fully utilised. Regards PF | peaeff
06/7/2007 22:27 | today from ADVFN news Shares in Aggreko shed 9 pence at 591-1/2 after being downgraded to 'hold' from 'add' by Dresdner Kleinwort with an unchanged target of 590 pence, with the broker citing valuation grounds. The broker pointed out that Aggreko shares have reached its discounted cashflow-based price target. | eipgam
21/6/2007 15:25 | Director buy has perked things up a little. Good reaction to share price weakness this past few days. | eipgam
19/6/2007 17:08 | I wish I had the opportunity to do some 'engineering' on this scale. It can be disturbing when directors sell but I reckon they've left enough in the pot to make it worth their while to continue the good work. | tinker
18/6/2007 14:09 | Bluebelle, I fully agree that we are all entitled to express our views. I fully accept that you have a concern about the directors selling, others may agree or disagree with this view, fine, but to call it 'engineering' by the directors makes it an allegation and not a view and that's what I was reacting to. | geovest
18/6/2007 13:48 | Geovest Your nether regions are really no concern of mine and of no interest to me. I have, as a shareholder, expressed my view. It is a view which I hold and which I am perfectly entitled to hold. If you disagree, no problem : the same applies to you and your views. | bluebelle
18/6/2007 13:24 | Peaeff - 18 Jun'07 - 13:05 - 205 of 205 what has happened at AGK over the past 3 years has, to say the least, been very beneficial to shareholders. I cannot praise highly enough this board of directors for pulling this company round and practically rebuilding it. Totally agree : that's why I hold them! It's just, as I mentioned, a little unsettling after the earlier buying, to see so much 'engineering' going on, by so many key Directors at the same time ! | bluebelle
18/6/2007 13:05 | Bluebelle I agree with your sentiments in respect of directors, however, what has happened at AGK over the past 3 years has, to say the least, been very beneficial to shareholders. I cannot praise highly enough this board of directors for pulling this company round and practically rebuilding it. I know market forces have helped, but the fact that this company was ready for the upturn is, IMHO, down to management. Couple that with the fact that the company have been entirely open about the state of their finances and the rise in shareprice was there for all to see. The last aquisition now appears to be a steal and I would not be surprised to see another quite soon. As far as I am concerned I say good luck to them and should their personal performances continue to bear as much fruit, I shall look forward to them selling a few more in the future. I cannot imagine this having any effect on the shareprice and I am expecting excellent H1 results as promised. Regards PF | peaeff
18/6/2007 08:33 | It's still a core hold for me but I don't like to see these sort of co-ordinated large adjustments of Directors' holdings, whatever the reason. | bluebelle
17/6/2007 13:11 | Is anyone concerned about the recent spate of Director 'sells' ? | bluebelle

11/6/2007 13:35 | has anyone seen the results of the analyst meeting on 5th-6th June. For some reason I cannot download it from the website. However the price has fallen since so I wondered if there was something they didn't like at the meeting. Regards PF | peaeff
07/6/2007 14:48 | Tipped as a buy in one of the Share mags this morning (can't remember which one as I was getting a free peek courtesy of WHSmith). 'edit' Think it was Shares Mag | eipgam
04/6/2007 10:58 | Geovest Good thinking and, let us not forget the possible knock on effect that it could have in that region. | peaeff
04/6/2007 10:18 | And there is till the potential contract for the Olympics, previously held by General Electrics, now part of AGK. We should know soon. | geovest
01/6/2007 16:03 | A very timely re-entry methinks. Thank you once again AGK. | peaeff
01/6/2007 13:38 | Thanks.... | eipgam
01/6/2007 13:30 | eipgam Let us not forget that this company has promised that when and where necessary further aquisitions are possible. The last one looks to have been a steal and the equipment purchased appears to be required to it's maximum capacity. Should that happen, and market forces remain the way they are at present, then there is no telling exactly where this will go. I see a lot of future for AGK in emerging countries and there is certainly no sign of business, such as that being generated by oil and gas exploration, easing in the near future. I shall be looking to hold now until interims are announced in Sept.? The other thing which has me wondering is that this update is much earlier than in other years and I wonder if yet another announcement is on the way. (I almost missed it) Regards PF | peaeff
01/6/2007 13:16 | There seems to be a number of investors cashing in today, judging by the trades. | eipgam
01/6/2007 12:27 | This share is fun.... my broker advised me to sell a year or so ago when this was less than 250p. I wish I had bought more rather than just ignoring them but I am now wondering where it can go if and when the share price hits £6. A rerating? A buyout?? Or is £6 all its money (as they are fond of saying on daytime antiques programmes.... I must get out more!!). Any opinions out there? | eipgam
01/6/2007 08:34 | Aggreko continues to see material increase in profits in 2007 vs 2006 LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Aggreko PLC said it continues to see material increase in profits in 2007 compared with 2006, as trading in Aggreko International has been "extremely" strong with record levels of fleet utilisation. Accordingly, the Scotland-based company, which leases power generators and air compressors, said it expects profits in the first half to be substantially ahead of the same period last year. It said demand in North America has been less strong, and expects profits in the first half to be at similar levels to last year. Recovery in Europe has continued apace, and profits in the first half will be significantly ahead of 2006, the company said. TFN.newsdesk@thomson bsu/rfw | peaeff |
