05/1/2007 11:11 | Reeshar Now regretting having got out when I did and I now believe that an opportunity to get back in at a reasonable level is not about to materialise. The two shares I bought are both showing profit but below the level I would now be holding if still here. Good luck to all who remain. Would like to get back in before results. Regards PF | peaeff
02/1/2007 21:04 | I've drawn a couple of possible resistance lines, and both have been cleanly broken on the upside. Either of these should form a new support line although the share price seems to be still pushing higher. The RSI has just gone above 70 but has been as high as 80 so may not be overbought yet. I expect a pullback from today's excesses but feel confident it won't drop back below the new support area. | reeshar
02/1/2007 13:07 | Share price just keeps going up. What a great little performer. I'll load a new chart when I get home tonight. Can't run the chart function of ADVFN at work. | reeshar
28/12/2006 22:13 | I think thet've jumped off too soon as the charts seems to indicate that this share has far to go. If I can get my hands on some money I'll buy some more. free stock charts from www.advfn.com | reeshar
28/12/2006 22:05 | AND A PROSPEROUS ONE !!!!!!!!!!!! | reeshar
28/12/2006 16:49 | I bet that relates to a nice bit of profit. Happy new year all Regards PF | peaeff
28/12/2006 16:31 | Barclays have reduced their holding from 7.07% to 6.67%. | reeshar
18/12/2006 22:35 | Reeshar I'm sure that has had something to do with it but it wouldn't be the first time the AGK price has risen prior to news. Prankster I have never doubted the potential here but my personal opinion was that there could well have been a slowing down of the share price, whilst the aquisition was being intigrated, and I have an ISA which I need to build as quickly as possible, but don't get me wrong the two investments I have made in place of AGK are, thankfully, running on a par in terms of profit. However as things stand at present I could have saved myself a lot of bother. I shall now keep an eye and if a suitable opening comes I will probably take the opportunity to get back in. I too feel this share has further to go and believe £5 to be a possibility. I was just trying to grab a few bob whilst it was in limbo in order to buy more later. As you say we all get it wrong at times but I haven't given up hope. Regards PF | peaeff
18/12/2006 19:21 | Barclays have increased their holding from 16,178,577 (6.01%) to 19,033,900 (7.07%) for its clients. Those buys are already in of course, so not sure if that news caused today's price move, or brought about a shortage of stock, or maybe somthing's going on that yer average punter hasn't heard about yet. Another stock of mine (MCHL) has also been bouncing about a bit with some strong runs. There were rumours of a bid from the US for this one a few day's ago. | reeshar
18/12/2006 18:18 | Peaeff, Better luck next time, we have all been there, sold too soon and regretted it. I always do my homework and I'm certainly not too impatient or too greedy, my conclusion was that when I posted the last post, the share price should have been higher, considering where the market was at. Now it seems to be doing exactly what I thought it should have been doing all along, a nice rise against a slightly down market justifies me holding the stock, I'm not saying that it's going to go to the moon but it should go a bit higher than this, I hold until it gives me a good reason to sell. Regards | prankster2
18/12/2006 14:08 | Prankster cant think why apart from impatience or greed. If you have done your homework I would have thought you should arrive at a favourable conclusion. Personally I'm beginning to regret selling. Regards PF | peaeff
16/12/2006 20:45 | It's up 2.76% this week and 1.53% last week. I'm happy enough with those figures to keep holding. Statistically speaking, according to the LSE Almanac, next week is the strongest week of the year and the week after is the 2nd strongest. | reeshar
15/12/2006 12:49 | I'm a bit disappointed in AGK, considering where the market is at, I expected it to be a bit higher than the current price at this present time, however I hold all my shares for now. | prankster2
11/12/2006 20:01 | Back above 400. Let's hope it can stay there. Link thin triangle forming. If we don't get bad news from the US it could go above the resistance this week, and form a new support line above the 400 mark. | reeshar
05/12/2006 07:09 | does agk hire out patio heaters to pubs? cheers | waldron
01/12/2006 19:22 | Promising day for AGK. Shame the news from across the pond spoilt it. Thanks Peaeff - I'll do some more research over the weekend. | reeshar
01/12/2006 16:55 | Reeshar I do honestly believe they could be a company for the future. Price held at present at around 260p but bursting to break out. If I can help go to RPS thread. Sorry all for off subject. Regards PF | peaeff
30/11/2006 18:44 | Peaeff - I've been looking into RPS recently myself and thinking of buying a few. I really like the business they're and the range of services they provide. | reeshar
29/11/2006 23:11 | yes I was, results were as expected with BRW but the main problem was a poor statement from the Chairman and a downgrade from one of the brokers. Result: price went wrong way. Fortunately the other share I bought RPS performed well so will stick with that for time being and sell BRW asap. If I miss the boat (still below my sell price) then so be it. Good luck to all. Regards PF | peaeff
29/11/2006 23:00 | Peaeff - Did you manage to get in early today then ? Shame they didn't hold on to the day's high. What's the tie in with BRW ? Were you looking to sell and buy AGK with proceeds ? | reeshar
26/11/2006 17:18 | Reeshar I am waiting for BRW results Wednesday and if favourable will probably buy back in AGK. I certainly intend to return before finals are due. I can see this beyond £5 in the future. At the present time, and for the foreseable future IMHO, market forces are strongly favourable for AGK business model. I see maybe a temporary slowdown whilst absorbing GE and then a gradual acceleration. Any unpredictable weather revenue could also be a bonus but they have proved this year that the business does not depend on it, whereas last year many thought the figures were falsely inflated by it. Regards PF | peaeff
26/11/2006 14:00 | Many thanks for that CCNP. Here's the link: | reeshar |
