30/9/2023 08:01 | Goodness a long time and way from looking at the building site in Harley St and realizing they were never going to make their initial dates. waterloo01 - 01 Mar 2023 - 18:57:17 - 4971 of 5061 Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) - formerly CareCapital - AVO twirl, I think you called me 'altruistic' back in 2017 when I suggested all was far from well. Seems the same is true today. Wrong management. Scientists! (and still not open) waterloo01 - 18 Jul 2017 - 18:29:56 - 3522 of 4971 Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) - formerly CareCapital - AVO Wrong people running this as has been the case for a long time. Good science/bad business. Evans wasn't the 1st red flag but the video of the demolition block, might be the last before the inevitable. To think they raised at £1.00 not that long ago. At least the BOD are also heavily invested. | waterloo01
22/9/2023 09:32 | Does anyone have any news on what is happening here? | tripleninjat
22/9/2023 08:45 | My optimistic opinion is that if AVO was going into administration or being bought, we would probably have known by now. Although both might be still be on the table. That leaves the very complicated recapitalisation and recovery plan that was always going to take some time to work through. | daijavu
03/8/2023 08:28 | I think earning report today??God know what they're going to say..! ? | p_dharmendra
24/7/2023 20:46 | I believe that we may return to normality soon. Following an EGM to approve the prospective recapitalisation and funding plan. | daijavu
21/7/2023 09:33 | The shares are suspended pending clarification of their financial position. | jaknife
21/7/2023 08:27 | Why share price is it not moving at all?!!!!Have they stop trading?!!! | p_dharmendra
17/7/2023 12:05 | You're right, of course. Which option would you prefer? I've been following AVO and been in and out of holding their shares for about ten years. I've experienced a lot of ups and downs with them during that time. Dilution to keep them going has been a norm so I've learned to live with it, but this is the closest they've come to actually going under. They've been quite creative in their determination to survive. Their 1 for 25 reverse split on 1/7/2016 was a cracker. If, on the 30th June you owned, say, 25,000 shares, on the 1st July you suddenly owned just 1,000. But, because each share was worth 25 times as much, the overall value of your shares was the same, so you didn't lose anything straight away. I'm just pleased they're still surviving. | daijavu
17/7/2023 11:42 | Good news huh. Looks like a choice between a total shareholder wipeout via dilution or administration. | terminator101
17/7/2023 07:42 | Today's RNS is excellent news. There is hope yet. | daijavu
15/7/2023 08:28 | The technology is so far in advance of any other proton beam therapy or radio therapy that it could replace both. AVO's aim is to democratise proton beam therapy by enabling it to be available everywhere. The financial benefits for AVO and LTHs over the years are going to be massive. Just have patience. | daijavu
14/7/2023 23:06 | It's not over yet. I prophecy that good news on financing may be soon. | daijavu
05/7/2023 01:06 | Turning a profit is not the issue here. As long as AVO can generate an income they can keep going without making a profit. The issue is that AVO are not going to generate an income until they sell their first machine. If the BoD can find some way of keeping going until they do then it isn't all over. If the BoD is to be believed, they are close. | daijavu
01/7/2023 06:55 | Got to agree, this does look like it’s over due to the simple fact turning a profit is still a long way away. | danmart2
30/6/2023 17:43 | You only have to look at the charges filed at Companies House to realise anything of potential value has already been used as collateral against loan notes. Glas Trust Corp Ltd is the security agent and trustee and will no doubt be fairly active this afternoon and over the weekend reviewing the next steps. Sadly it looks all over for shareholders. | kinwah
30/6/2023 08:12 | Well I wonder is that really it....? Or will a White Knight appear? No mention today of any work done on possible US listing, which had previously been raised? Guess TW will be down the pub today, loudly celebrating, one of the few he got right. If only he were balanced and as biggly flagged up all the ones he got terribly wrong) | gerhart
30/6/2023 08:11 | Possibly only option available now is say 20 billion shares at 0.1p. Obviously existing shareholders wiped out. Management loans convert at (I think but please check for yourself) at a 20% percent discount to the next placement so they are protected. Cap at 0.1 would obviously then be 20m ish. Mike did a similar stunt with the old Yoomedia, Mira to clear debt so he has form here. Your money is gone unfortunately. The tech will still exist in a few years and patients will be treated. Someone will benefit financially from this but not existing shareholders. | lw425
30/6/2023 08:00 | It's such a shame the tech could have played a major role in helping 1000s of cancer sufferers. | john henry
30/6/2023 07:49 | Guess that's it. They can't even raise against future machines as they have already sold those rights. | waterloo01
29/6/2023 00:58 | CERN invested well over 25 years in developing LIGHT, to revolutionise proton beam therapy by replacing the antiquated cyclotron technology that is still used by the rest of proton therapy industry, and also to replace radiotherapy that is widely used to treat cancers, and to make proton beam therapy available to everyone with cancers. . ADAM and AVO came on the scene to continue the development and commercialise the process, all with the ongoing support of CERN's physicists who are still involved with the development of LIGHT. We could make a comparison with the replacement of propeller driven aeroplanes (cyclotrons) by jets (LIGHT). The impact of LIGHT will be huge, no matter what happens to AVO. The current situation is similar to, say, the producer of the first jet engine running out of cash just before the plane can be flown. With some people, unable to see the difference between the two, muttering, 'I can't see what all the fuss is about. It's just another plane, and we've already got enough planes.' | daijavu
28/6/2023 15:09 | Is "flipping" the expression, when rights are sold ahead of issue, or something like that. Is Odey aware of a huge rights issue, almost a complete re-capitalisation coming...so not losing the faith, just taking some "profit". Could even be related to US listing that was mentioned... They must be in the loop on the board's thinking.... I find it hard to believe that management would have put up their own cash for shares recently if we were facing the end game. (Just after Christmas think most also all bought) Was kicking myself that I didn't buy at 2.75 a few weeks ago before the rise....had been watching. Looks like my delay wasn't a bad decision this time. :) /:( | gerhart
28/6/2023 13:31 | I assume that Odey is selling his way out of AVO. | daijavu
23/6/2023 12:22 | Thanks for the info, I am in on a tip from a friend who is a GP, a quick Google does indeed show that they are having issues..... | johnywadster |
