It is strange that the post that I have responded to has disappeared while I was typing. I hope the contract is real this time and it does not vanish like all the others that AVO had. AVO once sold seven LIGHT machines and clinics to hospitals in China. They all fell through because AVO could not fulfill the contracts. The money that AVO received had to be returned. AVO rarely inform shareholders when they loose contracts. It was usually left to us shareholders to realise that the contracts no longer existed when all reference to them had vanished from the AVO website. I still have faith in the technology but do not trust the BoD. I am not parting with any more cash until I know that contracts have been implemented and AVO are receiving revenue.

waterloo01 It is how AVO have always operated. They never disclose bad news. They leave it to us to work it out for ourselves.

Nice of them to let investors know that the agreement with Circle had 'lapsed'. Profit sharing? No numbers attached.

I am waiting until LIGHT is operating before I decide whether to dip my toe in again.

Hargreaves Lansdown charges £11.95 per trade regardless of the size of the trade. That drops considerably for frequent traders. You simply open an ordinary sharedealing account or an ISA sharedealing account, put some money into it and start trading. I believe that most online brokers work the same way. Some are cheaper but might be more basic. You can often opt for a level of service from one that includes investment advice to one where you get no advice and make your own investment decisions. CREST comes with the service.

Hi all Very interested in AVO therefore joined the forum. What is the cheapest way to trade AVO shares? seems like I need a CREST account and it is all confusing, some stockbrokers charge a percentage commission per trade? how is everyone trading? Im new to the game. Thank you

I'm sure that LIGHT will come into its own one day, once everything comes together. It could be this year, next year or in ten years time, or longer. Much longer. The main question is when. The BoD has been promising it for years and has consistently missed targets. LIGHT was supposed to be up and running years ago. Contracts were signed in the presence of Heads of Governments and with massive publicity. Large sums of money were paid to AVO in advances. All the contracts came to nothing and were cancelled and AVO had to repay the money. Chinese multi millionaires were appointed to the BOD to promote AVO in China but they disappeared. I question who will own the company and LIGHT when LIGHT does take off. Will it be current shareholders or will it be some Chinese company or even the Chinese Government? There have been so many promises that came to nothing one gets weary of hearing them. I am invested in companies that have made me a mint while AVO sits and does nothing.

As we veterans of AVO discovered all those years ago, according to the BoD, it was always going to happen soon.

They have not sold anything so they have no income. I think that LIGHT should do everything it promises but I'm not sure that pis are going to benefit much, if at all. I find the Chinese involvement a tad unsettling.

Want to see a lot more from this. Where is it falling down in terms of getting the money flowing in ?

I have every confidence in LIGHT. I just don't trust the BoD or the Chinese involvement.

I think Rutherford's equipment is the std proton stuff isn't it? Not like LIGHT at all - not able to change the target, hugely more expensive and needs a factory, they don't actually treat patients at Harley Street plus they have the Curse of Woodford upon them. Laudable though they are don't they just license kit and put it in buildings? They don't own the patent on the kit - correct me if I'm wrong. Not trying to dissuade anyone from having a look at Rutherford but do make sure you know the difference between them and AVO. Let the flack start...

The Chinese involvement really deters me - which is a shame as I think if it remained independant it would be a profitable buy. I expect some sort of debt initiated chinese takeover where the Directors are in but peeps are out.

I hope you're right Paul. I am only cautious about it because I do not trust the BoD It has always remained on my watch list and if it survives as an independent company, keeps ownership of LIGHT and has a revenue stream, I might consider buying again.
