30/7/2020 14:48 | gclark>> Having previously attended AVO AGM several times I would say that visiting an assylum would be just as informative. I heard plenty of optimism - none realised. | twirl
29/7/2020 16:14 | Anybody attend the AGM? I had intended to go, but in the end I didn't have the time and I did wonder if it was just going to be votes on resolutions rather than any meaningful discussion. But would be interested to know ... | gclark
29/6/2020 08:45 | A positive RNS today. I topped up | daijavu
29/6/2020 08:43 | Well very quiet start here, given today's news - which I think is fantastic. Surely it must mean financial problems are a thing of the past. Only real big question remaining is, will the technology/science deliver what it is hoped that it will. I suspect that it will - given the background/expertise of all involved. Once they are able to prove that and perhaps sometime, and even long, before it is official, today's share price will look like it was an "error" on the ADVFN and elsewhere! Here's to the future! | justjill
04/6/2020 21:26 | The last time AVO went as quiet as this was because they were at least two years behind their schedule. That was in 2016 at which time they were scheduling the first patient to be treated in Harley Street in 2018. When shareholders started expressing concerns that deadlines had been missed the BoD denied they were behind schedule until they suddenly rescheduled their timetable without any explanation. | daijavu
09/4/2020 08:18 | Call mne cynical....on second thoughts don't! But a fund raise during a - hopefully short - period when all share prices have been hammered - was that really needed now? If so the co finances, not for the first time, are not being managed properly. So shouldn't we have a few job adverts in the "local gazette" Or maybe just a nice way to "help fund the company" and your own salary in many cases at a massive discount to the share price of just a few weeks ago. Nice one. | justjill
28/2/2020 08:17 | hardman are paid to come up with these blue sky reports. There have been several over the decade - often prior to fund raising. This IMHO is a real gamble not because of the technology but the Chinese involvement which will lead to funds shortage - chinese bail out - directors parachute - investors shafted. | twirl
21/2/2020 14:02 | We all hoping for another tech update soon. Still, the fact Birmingham NHS Hospitals - people that know the science, and probably a bit more about what is going on behind the scenes, and are a reputable UK specialists in cancer treatment - are prepared to already formally sign as partners must say a lot in itself. I mean in simplistic terms would they become formally engaged with something that was "mickey mouse". I suggest not. We haven't seen the "proof of the pudding" yet. But there would appear to be a very strong smell coming from that oven! | justjill
17/2/2020 18:31 | Confidence in light might be gaining momentum but there is still the matter of lack of confidence in the BoD to be dealt with. | daijavu

17/2/2020 09:58 | It is strange that the post that I have responded to has disappeared while I was typing. I hope the contract is real this time and it does not vanish like all the others that AVO had. AVO once sold seven LIGHT machines and clinics to hospitals in China. They all fell through because AVO could not fulfill the contracts. The money that AVO received had to be returned. AVO rarely inform shareholders when they loose contracts. It was usually left to us shareholders to realise that the contracts no longer existed when all reference to them had vanished from the AVO website. I still have faith in the technology but do not trust the BoD. I am not parting with any more cash until I know that contracts have been implemented and AVO are receiving revenue. | daijavu
12/2/2020 07:16 | waterloo01 It is how AVO have always operated. They never disclose bad news. They leave it to us to work it out for ourselves. | daijavu
11/2/2020 07:13 | Nice of them to let investors know that the agreement with Circle had 'lapsed'. Profit sharing? No numbers attached. | waterloo01
28/1/2020 22:23 | I am waiting until LIGHT is operating before I decide whether to dip my toe in again. | daijavu
28/1/2020 22:20 | Hargreaves Lansdown charges £11.95 per trade regardless of the size of the trade. That drops considerably for frequent traders. You simply open an ordinary sharedealing account or an ISA sharedealing account, put some money into it and start trading. I believe that most online brokers work the same way. Some are cheaper but might be more basic. You can often opt for a level of service from one that includes investment advice to one where you get no advice and make your own investment decisions. CREST comes with the service. | daijavu
14/1/2020 14:35 | Hi all Very interested in AVO therefore joined the forum. What is the cheapest way to trade AVO shares? seems like I need a CREST account and it is all confusing, some stockbrokers charge a percentage commission per trade? how is everyone trading? Im new to the game. Thank you | yungdumplin
09/1/2020 08:53 | I was spouting similar on AVO several years ago. Great tech but slow... | igbertsponk
08/1/2020 22:47 | I'm sure that LIGHT will come into its own one day, once everything comes together. It could be this year, next year or in ten years time, or longer. Much longer. The main question is when. The BoD has been promising it for years and has consistently missed targets. LIGHT was supposed to be up and running years ago. Contracts were signed in the presence of Heads of Governments and with massive publicity. Large sums of money were paid to AVO in advances. All the contracts came to nothing and were cancelled and AVO had to repay the money. Chinese multi millionaires were appointed to the BOD to promote AVO in China but they disappeared. I question who will own the company and LIGHT when LIGHT does take off. Will it be current shareholders or will it be some Chinese company or even the Chinese Government? There have been so many promises that came to nothing one gets weary of hearing them. I am invested in companies that have made me a mint while AVO sits and does nothing. | daijavu
08/1/2020 18:03 | Absolutely. It’s coming. That’s why we all hold shares here. | paul_98
08/1/2020 17:50 | As we veterans of AVO discovered all those years ago, according to the BoD, it was always going to happen soon. | daijavu
02/1/2020 22:32 | Sure to be soon. This is not an overnight project 🤔 | paul_98
02/1/2020 21:13 | in fact no news at all paul esp sales | twirl
30/12/2019 00:13 | I feel good times ahead. All slotting into place very nicely IMO and no negative news. | paul_98 |
