16/5/2017 20:18 | twirl, I'm surprised it's allowed personally, it's so obvious. They have the problem of keeping the share price up, or having to repeat this again very soon. | andy
16/5/2017 17:31 | What do you mean "asleep"? | mrtruth1
16/5/2017 12:28 | Seems to me that the EGM is inevitable at some point. | vatnabrekk
16/5/2017 11:24 | A risky game being played by Directors as last 2 rns clearly show the link with their buys to prop up the share price thereby avoiding an EGM which was about to be triggered. An EGM to reduce the nominal value would toast their existing investment. | twirl
16/5/2017 10:13 | That's because they're not allowed to issue shares at less than 25p. No matter, Bracknor will already have sold that number of shares at more than 25p, so they won't be out of pocket! | vatnabrekk
16/5/2017 09:47 | Jiggery pokery on the Bracknor fee shares - extra given to cover the average price being less than 25p.... | igbertsponk
16/5/2017 09:46 | Is everyone asleep? Or just out celebrating yesterday's share price rise operation? 16 May 2017 ADVANCED ONCOTHERAPY PLC ("Advanced Oncotherapy" or the "Company") Conversion of Convertible Loan Notes Advanced Oncotherapy (AIM: AVO), the developer of next-generation proton therapy systems for cancer treatment, announces that Bracknor Investment Group ("Bracknor") has advised the Company that they will convert a portion of the first tranche of the Convertible Loan Notes ("CLN") issued to them on 22 February 2017 into new ordinary shares of 25p each in the share capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares"). 15/5/2017 23:18 | I suspect i got the base level wrong on my last chart (apol) - this one looks correct - the chairman seems to have piled in here - the OBV is rising off that buyzone - but the OBV is still negative so v speculative - can see there's still not much love on the board and it's an exercise in staying alive a bit longer - so strictly for punts only if you are long would be my read. Could rise back up to the trend line if they pull some news out of the hat. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | luckymouse
15/5/2017 18:32 | Escapetohome you are correct no one is an expert. You do your own research and follow what your instinct tells you, but some snippets on this board are interesting. If its not raining tomorrow I'm going to cycle to Harley st to see how the works are coming on | smithless
15/5/2017 17:49 | I don't believe anyone on here is a true expert at all :-) Everyone has an opinion though (I just ignore most of the truly negative people). | mrtruth1
15/5/2017 17:34 | I haven't sen confirmation of Nick Plowman's investment of £250k yet. | vatnabrekk
15/5/2017 17:14 | IF SO - i almost exactly predicted the bottom and bought in too. All based on so called EXPERTS - EXPERT KNOWLEDGEABLE POSTERS - being wrong! | escapetohome
15/5/2017 16:57 | gerhart - Guinness was another one in the '80. all text book stuff. I suppose the FCA would call it share price manipulation today, but hey this is AIM. Of course I'm not accusing them of anything, I just find the timing a bit weird that's all. Love looking in on AVO from time to time. Real 11.00th hour stuff today. | smithless
15/5/2017 16:16 | Smithless I'm too young to remember anything about Poly Peck. Certainly never took an interest. | gerhart
15/5/2017 16:12 | Well it looks like they have done it!! Amazing what a few hours and an RNS can do. Clock reset. Of course Bracknor still has a mountain of shares to get rid off, but that's for another day. | smithless
15/5/2017 14:57 | gerhart - not entirely sure your correct on this point. Nothing wrong directors buying shares because they believe them to be undervalued. In this case, it would appear a support operation to keep the calling EGM at bay. I remember Polly Peck doing a similar sort of thing so it didn't trigger a clause in one of its loans, stating that the share price wasn't to fall below a certain level, otherwise it would be called in. We all know what happened in that particular case. Who knows, but how long can these desperate measures continue | smithless
15/5/2017 14:49 | Think the boat has sailed without me. Had a chance at 26p but dilly dallied | love it
15/5/2017 14:04 | JakNife Does that mean it's worth buying at 26p if directors are supporting the price at similar levels ? | love it
15/5/2017 13:33 | Smithless there is nothing illegal about directors supporting a share SP! Lots of shareholders would like to see it much more often. Albeit, it's quite clear why they are currently "supporting" the share price at this level. | gerhart
15/5/2017 13:25 | Up up and away folks! | escapetohome
15/5/2017 13:25 | wow all those erudite posts predicting doom and gloom. Just the signal i needed! | escapetohome
15/5/2017 13:20 | This is about as near as one gets to a share support operation by the directors, which I thought was illegal. A EGM has to be called NOW to drop the nominal value, as the 10 days are up on whatever matrix Bracknor agreed with AVO | smithless |
