Repeated director buys in the market are a sign of desperation and not confidence. The market is not fooled. If there were reasons for increased confidence that had not been announced this would be insider trading.

What is needed is sufficient sustainable funding being put into the company to see it through to potential revenue generation in 2021. Buying shares in the market provides no funding to the company.

Doesn't appear that Dr Vanni's efforts will have much effect. Will. Red a much larger gesture from a big-hitter to restore confidence here - the long shadow from the Bracknor Wonga-crew is impossible to counter through relatively small Director buys IMO

Twirl think salaries should be stopped, or greatly reduced, and they ALL take one for the team.

Dr V. spent about £27k....but it will still be mocked by Share Prophets. He has bought too, at much higher levels. So credit where credit is due. He clearly has confidence.

But they are going to have to pull a few rabits from the hat...

Bloody disaster this company. Never I mean NEVER let scientists run ANYTHING except their childrens birthday parties! And if I was 5 I'd worry about that too. Good Grief!

Maybe there aren't many options now. But it seems to have passed over the management's heads that they could lose control and it all too, if the share price goes low enough and a predator starts to stake build/or make an offer for peanuts.

JakNife, I think that was rather naive on the part of the management. Bracknor don't have to short-sell, they can forward sell in advance the shares that they know they are going to have delivered to them. That's not short-selling, strictly speaking. It may be a subtle difference, but it means that they can push down the share price so that they convert at a lower price than they have already sold at.

And they can't touch them for it!

Otherwise, they would end up holding a huge lump of shares that they had bought at a higher price and that they couldn't sell. And that's not the sort of mistake that people like Bracknor are likely to make!

Why? I was referring to other shares as i have said his claims in regards to this share are quite solid. The only thing I would take a slight issue with regarding what he says about AVO is his sniping about how they have produced nothing and need funding to leave the f*@king lights on (how he puts it) which is all true but surely a lot of successful companies start that way after all before apple produced their first computer they had no income either. I think everyone who is or remains as a investor in AVO is well aware of this. BTW I have no position here.
