Lol, you’re right, 3 and a half year highs then. I think it has much further to go too in these defensive inflatory times but I like to bank a profit every so often and move things around. If ADM recovers whilst BATS wobbles I’d probably revert. Happy to bank some profit for now and give ADM a chance.

BATS is no way at 5 year highs.

Took a sizeable position this morning. Looks too cheap and good dividend. Sold out of BATS as it’s at 5 year highs to move cash here which could easily backfire but let’s see.

Agreed. A nice boring company with a superb ROCE and dividend. Boring is good.

Admiral are definitely cheaper than at least most of the competition, not much point in going anywhere else. This is a well run company offering competitive products, value will come through in the end and the current price is underpinned by the dividend.

Today renewed a 3 car policy plus household insurance with Admiral at a very significant saving on past year, nothing changed. Service excellent, just wondering if the whole sector has changed or just Admiral? Is profitability lower? Are they going to finally earn a bit of interest on their reserves? Not a holder yet.

Yes I noticed that as well and take it as a positive sign. Admiral is a well run company which has been dragged down by the sector blues but likely to be one of the strongest in the inevitable rebound whenever that occurs. The yield at this price is near enough 7%.

Nice to see a non-exec splashing out a reasonable amount of cash on shares:-

JJ, I think it's a sector thing rather than Adm specific down to consumers affordability however Admiral is competitively priced and should do ok in the long run imv.

ive said this before and ill says this again. the company said that results for 22 are not going to be in the region of those of 2020 or 2019. so with that in mind, you need to be looking for a return to pre covid levels. we are only just beginning to enter that area. theres room to run to 2000

I was thinking that DLG was taking the read across from Admiral

No matter took a nibble at both today

First foray into Admiral added to my DLG

will be interesting to see how the far east reacts overnight

As I stated elsewhere was surprised by muted reaction to the big rise in the Dow and the Nasdaq in the far east after the 3/4 % rate rise so the movement yesterday looks like a more logical outcome

But will wait and see still have 2/3 of funds available so

Hardest thing is to wait for my buy in levels to occur. FOMO always in background.

Buckle up everybody and good luck

XD 118p, down 172p on the day, great!
I know it's been a volatile day but so often these big divi payers drop by noticeably more than the xd amount even on an 'average' day.

With the share price having tanked this has put on 14 pc in five years, take into ac inflation its flat, so mostly a dividend play. Another fairly pointless ftse 100 share.
