15/6/2011 17:16 | At a loss for words really - crazy 7% fall on just a few thousand shares traded? In twelve years of investing (2008 crash aside) I've never known a share release such continually positive news & yet move down so relentlessly - starting to put me off small cap shares altogether. Unless there's something I'm missing here, this must surely reverse at some point - maybe 20th June for reasons already stated. Very strange times! | epsilon mojo
15/6/2011 16:01 | strange times..... | targatarga
15/6/2011 07:39 | I do not want to see this below 305p | valediction
14/6/2011 16:39 | It could be that ACL's impending exclusion from the FTSE's Fledgling index is part of what's been holding it back of late (see the link below). According to the explanation given to me on the FOUR thread (post 1123) it appears that ACL's exclusion has been a "fait accompli" for the last two months - a possible explanation for some of the recent under performance imo. Changes take effect on 20th June. | epsilon mojo
03/6/2011 10:58 | Another tron-like move from ACL - strange old share this one. | epsilon mojo
03/6/2011 07:53 | Questor share tip: Acal shrugs off tech bubble fears with growth strategy After real estate, technology has been the best performing "supersector" in the FTSE 350 this year. Outperformance of the sector looks set to continue – and this should benefit components distributor Acal. By Garry White 7:00AM BST 03 Jun 2011 Acal 312¼p +5¼ Questor says BUY | philanderer
03/6/2011 07:47 | Valediction - probably... Sold a lump some time ago for 333 and went into cad at 34p. Think these are easy to trade provided the spread narrows.. imho | targatarga
03/6/2011 07:42 | Looks like you were spot on with the timing of your buy Targatarga. EM lets hope it stays up this time, its one day chart does move like its been driven by one of those "Tron bikes" 90 degree turns and straight lines. | valediction
03/6/2011 07:29 | Strong start, ICs Buy rating probably didn't do any harm - either that or short term sellers cleared and/or broker notes/upgrades beginning to seep through? Lets hope the rise lasts this time. | epsilon mojo
02/6/2011 16:42 | Lets hope so EM | valediction
02/6/2011 14:02 | Someone seems confident in ACL - £150Ks worth bought at 310p (maybe a post result director buy?). | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 21:26 | Bit of a "Turkey" today ACL but I have no doubt it will return to form and Soar up again. Just not tomorrow. Dow's worse one day drop since last August. | valediction
01/6/2011 20:50 | Brave calls targatarga/valedicti Dow plummeting & the FTSE likely to follow suit in the morning - so of course ACL will probably go up!? Good to see some late buying, though, and nice to hear the opinions of others on this board for a change ;-) | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 20:23 | Hmmmmmmm I am wincing at what tomorrow morning may bring. Very strange, still shoul be 350 within a month imo | valediction
01/6/2011 18:22 | picked up 2k at 310p near close. Can't see these dropping further.... imho | targatarga
01/6/2011 16:39 | I agree, opening up 7% and now down.. 2.5% ish. "Riddle me this" as one might say to the caped crusader. Dow on a big slide , tough day. | valediction
01/6/2011 11:48 | I give up, now down for the day - unbelievable! | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 11:03 | Amazed anyone would sell after those results, each to their own though. Long term this is only going one way imo, just look how weak it looked this time last year & where it went from there - same again this year imv. | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 07:32 | Still remarkably low volume given the strength of these results - sure to get a good write up in the press imo. | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 07:04 | First trades were small buys at 335 + 336. That is encouraging. | liveinhope
01/6/2011 07:03 | About time! | epsilon mojo
01/6/2011 07:02 | Yes looked good to me (long read), and a strong finish by the Dow yesterday bodes well. Up up and away ? | valediction
01/6/2011 07:01 | A pleasing 10% dividend increase. | liveinhope
01/6/2011 06:52 | Underlying profit/eps well ahead of brokers forecast, continued strong cashflow & yet another earnings enhancing (for next year) acquisition anounced. Brokers forecasts for 2011/12 bound to be raised imo & must surely open up?(although who knows given the way its been recently). | epsilon mojo |
