01/7/2009 23:13 | Hello liveinhope - sorry for delay. Had another look in the annual accounts, it was A Laughton who has a claim on the company not Jim Virdee. Mr Laughton left the company on 24th August 2008 with a payment of 368k for loss of office. He remains on the books until 24th July 2009 on pay and benefits. Loads of money to be had on the boardroom moneygoround! J Virdee left with 362k. Must admit the money raised from the sale of messagelabs etc seems to be slowly going down the pan. Great noises coming from the management about new businesses but when they write off many millions it doesn't really compensate...regards | targatarga
29/6/2009 10:07 | targatarga, - Was Jim Virdee claim mentioned in Annual Accounts? Any other ex Directors similarly claiming? I see Service Source Europe Limited on Friday has changed name to Acal Supply Chain Limited. | liveinhope

17/6/2009 13:10 | liveinhope - probably st lucia. Must admit i like some of the management speak but the companies loss of value over the years is frightening. regards | targatarga

02/6/2009 12:00 | Hi Sorry not been in contact for a while. Quick update, SSE and EAF are moving onto one IT platform and will be merged into one trading entity (Acal Supply Chain Litd) as of 1st July 09. The Finance function will also transition to one site in Warrington (to be completed by the end of August). Lots of activity happening as you would expect, will give you the nod if anything significant happens. | marketdevil
02/6/2009 00:28 | liveinhope - just returned from a fishing trip.... turned out as a bigger waste of time as holding these. My fear is the management speak could be an extension of what were heard before. Remember acal had a share price in excess of £5 not so many years ago. Where has that value gone? With the massive cash injection from the sale of messagelabs i was hoping for some reassuring green shoots. Yes we hear about the sse but thats only a small part of the group. Will try and have another look tomorrow. regards tt | targatarga
01/6/2009 21:03 | targatarga - how do you read results out today? Market seems indifferent on these. At least a dividend of 3.5p being paid but not fully covered by earnings etc. SSE keep being mentioned in results and as having solid Management so will be interested to learn progress in how they are changing ASC part of business and how this is going. IMHO share price up with events and do not expect any fireworks in short term on this share. | liveinhope
27/5/2009 11:54 | movement pre results...fingers crossed | targatarga
07/4/2009 15:13 | still languishing down in the depths.... | targatarga
23/3/2009 22:17 | Wall Street's signigicant rise today may prove Acal's slight, but not severe by the sounds of it, reduction in headcount could prove timely and sage if they have kept on board key personnel and augurs well for the future. Sense so. | liveinhope
23/3/2009 12:05 | liveinhope, sorry have been out of the office for a few days. Integration is continuing apace, there has been some trimming back of staff across the three main sites (Warrington, Nottingham and Wokingham), the board are keeping a tight rein on headcount. Purchasing is to be centralised in Wokingham, most of the sales activity has moved to Warrington, and as mentioned before, the Nottingham office is to be the Enterprise centre of excellence. | marketdevil
22/3/2009 19:45 | Rainmaker - dividend prudently cut last time but still have concerns. Anybody know ratio of "chiefs to indians" in Acal organastion? Indeed what is prefered ratio in any "normal succesful organisation"? Curious. | liveinhope
22/3/2009 19:10 | Hi LIH-Believe me I have looked at thousands upon thousands of Value shares in detail and this rates a good value share. regards | rainmaker
22/3/2009 17:23 | Rainmaker - rose tinted glasses? Agree at current share price could be good recovery punt but remember 700p + share price. Happy days. | liveinhope
22/3/2009 12:32 | Good looking chart and IMHO a quality "Value Share"(ie excellent trading record, good dividend history, strong balance sheet etc, etc) regards | rainmaker |
