The takeover of II has not happened yet so you can't blame their move to paperless on that.Seems sensible for any company to try and limit physical paperwork, as others have said just print what you need from the pdf transaction note that all brokers make available. Or better still just save it to your own PC if you want to have a personal record.

I'm with II and just print my sell contact notes making a note of the p&l at the top of each. I don't print the buy notes, instead just save the electronic version in monthly folders. spud

LINTON5 I'm an ii investor and you can print contract notes from the system - no problem.
Unless there is a regulatory requirement almost everything is paperless these days.

Is there any iii investors who do not take contract notes ? Just had a message today basically saying from end feb they gonna start charging 1.50 a note £3 for document plus vat unbelievable as if they don’t make enough from us.is this the takeover biting us on the bum now

This is a share that is screaming at me to come and get it but the expenditure of 1.5 billion pounds on a share trading firm did not make much sense to me

I think trading has dried up in the last few months as people like myself are very wary of getting caught long especially in light of the current situation in the Ukraine
My policy is to stay with my base investments a bit of gold and lots and lots of cash in case of another meltdown

Even that old faithful Unilever will be jettisoned as soon as it reaches my target price

I am extremely wary of going home long ahead of a weekend so will be looking to sq up and start again Monday through Wednesday
Until this situation is resolved will be keeping all my options open

Cowardly I know but it sets my mind at rest

Seems clear todays drop is linked to geopolitical worries in Ukraine but looking to the price chart for last year it’s shocking the erosion ….. what are they doing to attract investors ? Shouldn’t they be experts in the field ? The BOD need a shake up as seen in the likes of Aviva . The abilities of the CEO is proven many times fundamental !

Agreed that LGEN more prosperous than Abrdn. I hold both and have seen the gap bewteen the two widening over the past two years.
Abrdn are spending big on press adverts (and possibly t.v./radio) extolling the virtues of 'Investing here means investing there' as in putting money into steel results in a stadium being built where you can enjoy watching your team.

No mention of the gigafactory in Blythe.

They are completely useless at PR and talking up the company. Based on the final results and forward fcst I will decide if I stay or leave to more prosperous investing grounds , like LGEN ..

I agree with what as been said about ABRDN it’s a boring share probably have to wait till yearly report in March let’s hope the CEO can give us some good news he said it was a 3 year turnaround I think he is only have way three that so probably no new news till then I’m keeping the faith hopefully share price will be 50% more at the end of 2022
