Am I correct in sayin so?

For the ones who bought in at the 4.20s its a fair price.

Ofcourse any other bidders will see this bounce up with me
bobbin around in the background.

It wont hold unless another bidder is in the frame. IMO!!
Price is too cheap and at the end of the day, if shareholders are sane, they will not agree to the bid offer. If bid rejected, it will be back to under 5.00
Or unless Citi or someone else join in the bid.

Coming back nicely. Not that it matters too much at this stage. I'm fed up of these so will take my dividends and then sell the new shares at no cost.

As expected, Santander opens at 7.8 Euros, down 3.1% on the day.

The arbs are going to get it in the a$$ now if they sold Abbey short.

Anyone know the dividend situation for European shares held in an ISA?
Are the divis paid gross or do they come net of foreign tax?
If net are there any arrangements for the tax paid to be reclaimed?

This is a rubbish option.
Who wants worthless Spanish paper anyway? The board should never have recommended this, unless they are hopeful a UK or US bank comes in to bid more realistically. Obvioulsy had no faith at all in their own restructuring plans if they were willing to sell this cheaply.

Just an awful deal, plain rubbish.One for one share swap-just wait to tell you what hedge funds and traders think when Santander reopens at 1.00.
5.25p here we come.As for one director jumping ship to British Land, I find that unethical to shareholders-They have basically sold it on the cheap, taken their profits from options and left shareholders high and dry.
