23/3/2022 11:58 | AB Dynamics plc is engaged in the provision of testing systems to the global motor industry, since the firm is a designer, manufacturer and provider of testing and measurement products for vehicle suspension, brakes and steering to the global automotive research and development sector. It designs and manufactures specialized testing systems to produce equipment for its customers to develop suspension, brake, chassis, and steering systems; evaluate vehicle dynamics and safety systems on the track; employ driver in loop simulation for prototyping; develop and evaluate the next generation of safety systems in vehicles; test and evaluate the technology for use in future. Given the ample product diversification and target market, the company’s net cash soared by £5.4m to reach £27.7m, signifying that the group is in a robust position to drive further strategic progress. The sudden net cash hike was effectively incorporated into the firm’s P/FCF of 28.5, which in turn signified that operating, investing, and financing activities are funded efficiently. Subsequently, AB Dynamics is undervalued with a P/E ratio of 24.6x, below above consumer discretionary P/E ratio of 32.1x, thus the security is expected to surge in value, illustrated by the attractive P/B ratio of 2.33x. 23/3/2022 08:25 | The update seems positive overall and market reacting positively. Hopefully it will follow through The Board is pleased with the progress made against its strategy, with performance for the six months ended 28 February 2022 in line with the Board's expectations. Whilst the current operating environment still presents challenges in relation to potential supply chain disruption, operational output has not been adversely affected to date and the Group has been successful in mitigating inflationary cost pressures through price increases for new orders. Underlying demand conditions in our key markets and customer activity levels have resulted in a positive book to bill ratio being maintained throughout the first half. Whilst mindful of ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the Board's expectations for the year are unchanged. Financial position Robust operating cash generation continues to fund investment and the resulting positive free cash flow leaves net cash, as at 28 February 2022, up £5.4m to £27.7m (28 February 2021: £33.1m, 31 August 2021 £22.3m), which leaves the Group in a strong position from which to drive further strategic progress. | hydrogen economy

16/3/2022 08:27 | Ltips not much you can do. Most companies do have a time limit on them being granted. It’s a bit cheeky to grant them 5 months after a year end. Why weren’t they done after the results announcement or shortly thereafter. Whats clear is this ceo likes to fill his own pockets. Just look at the rem package he is on vs the entire board in 2018. I have no problem with that if he delivers but when the share price has gone backwards and he’s delivered the square root of f all then you start to feel like you are being mugged off. Him taking the NED role just confirms my earlier point re money. Re the close period IMO it should be once the half closes but anyway it’s done now. | mrsimmons
16/3/2022 05:43 | fair point mr fox | zippysix
15/3/2022 19:29 | Zippysix - I guess you need to brush up on your understanding of close periods then. "This period typically lasts for one month prior to quarterly or interim reports and two months prior to annual reports." ABD has in previous years released half year reports on 22nd and 28th April so based on that would be entering a close period at some point next week. Hence getting some admin out of the way now. The PDMR share dealing is a positive sign here so i'm not sure why any genuine holder would be annoyed that an MD of one of the groups put some of their own cash on the line at £11. Frankly feel sorry they had to pay £11 since you could pick these up sub £10 recently. If you are convinced they are in the know of something good they are about to report follow the money and invest some more. As for the LTIPS they would have been at a low strike point no matter when they where granted. Little we can do about that i'm afraid except rely on the major shareholders ensuring they only vest if appropriate targets have been met. | 1foxred
15/3/2022 18:50 | So an RNS today declaring a PDMR Has purchased shares presumably with knowledge of the company's financials. Secondly a very timely Grant of options at a very low strike price. Its is the end of the half year so company should be in a closed period until half year results are announced | zippysix
15/3/2022 17:35 | Zippy - The options are an LTIP so don’t vest until the future and can only vest of certain performance objectives are met. So I don’t know where you get the notion of insider trading from. As for the MD of one of the group companies purchasing I’m sure he has been appropriately advised that he is free to trade. | 1foxred
15/3/2022 16:41 | This does not seem right. In fact it is not right at all this insider share dealing and granting of options is happening at what I assume is ABDs half-year reporting i.e. end of February. Which means that these people who are buying shares with insider knowledge in theory should not be Trading in compamy stock and in a actual fact the company should be in a closed period until the half-year results are published. I may be wrong here, but I think this is wrong. | zippysix
15/3/2022 08:49 | CEO has awarded himself 50000 shares today. That’s nice timing for the ltip issue. Is this guy simply here to load his pockets? Starting to get quite irritating. He’s achieved nothing in 3 years as far as I can see other than seek to line his own pockets. In fact I’d say the group has gone backwards since he arrived. | mrsimmons
14/3/2022 07:45 | You mean "dressing up" as in sustained top line, bottom line and share growth. And if by "unpicking" you mean a four fold increase in costs and executive renumeration. | zippysix
13/3/2022 12:08 | Interesting reading the comments here. My personal opinion original management did a good job of dressing the company up for floatation and fund raising. The continual earnings beats where more of a reflection of their inability to correctly forecast. New management have inherited a lot of historic issues and are having to unpick this. The margin errosion seemed to be from large stock write downs probably a clean broom exercise. I’d like to see some stable growth moving forward and costs reducing. CEO and CFO pay does seem on the high side. At this price though seems like a good entry. | 1foxred
12/3/2022 17:15 | not forgeting his new NED role as he has time on his hands apparantly. What is the board doing here to let this happen? | zippysix
10/3/2022 17:30 | Tell my NYB how do you know they are sound management? i have never seen them..have you? Does a sound management pay themselves upto £800k per anum and triple operating costs when the margins are tanking? | zippysix
10/3/2022 15:48 | A bit of institutional selling, holding this one down at the lows, could take until Q3/4 to start a decent recovery, sound management a well run Company, I have parked some cash here, will check back later in the year on any progress | ny boy
08/3/2022 15:11 | Better day, showing glimmers of being a defensive play, fundamentals will shine through soon, I expect more Director buying and some institutional buying dyor as usual | ny boy |
