Why did the share price drop so much this morning?

Thanks, both.

The scale of the share-based payment charge inspired me to give myself a crash-course in accounting for options, and I contacted the CFO for more insight into how these charges had been expensed in the income statement. He was very helpful, and I have suggested to him that fuller disclosure on the allocation of these costs would be useful in future periods.

Jurgen, can't speak for rest of IC, but I have done very well on Simon Thomson's tips. Of course he doesn't get it right every time, who could. Most investments need an exit point. He isn't necessarily saying these are no longer worth investing in, only that they are fully valued for now and your money might make more elsewhere. In the medium term, I think these have a lot further to go as they develop exciting new products and make more space available for production and design. Also with the move away from diesel, I suspect car manufacturers are going to be busy with new models and designs.

Look to the future, plans for new products and spur provided by advantages of new building should move this forward in the medium term.

I presume management will be out and about speaking to institutions - I suspect the price will move back up again very soon on the long term story.

Slightly disappointing. The eps (after adjusting for share options) is a tad lower than people were perhaps expecting although the 10% hike in the divi is fine.

Pretty negative reaction on the price this morning which is understandable.

The outlook is still pretty good with the new premises due to be commissioned in summer. Demand for products remains very strong.

In over 30 years of investing I have found IC to be comparatively useless with their advice.

I bought a small number this morning but my purchase does not (yet) appear on the recent trades although a couple of sales, both before and after my purchase, have already appeared.

Interims are due on 25 April.

Assuming no sudden world crisis beforehand (no guarantee I admit) there ought be be further momentum upwards.

This is part of my bottom drawer portfolio, so I don't follow it closely.
Just took a look today and the volume is way bigger than normal.
I'm expecting this company to progress in a step-change fashion, riding the autonomous vehicle wave over the next 5-10 years.
Perhaps there is a step change afoot?
