Don't believe for a minute that the first vaccine to come to market will rid us of Covid 19. We are here for the long haul and will learn to live with it like every other illness. Treatments will come, just a matter of time. From an investment point of view I'm happy to sit on my 4D shares for two or three years minimum.

Yes, the scientific and political elite have purchased shares or taken backhanders from their preferred drugs companies so won't accept anything to challenge that. Why do you think hydroxychloroquine was so quickly discredited despite more evidence that it works. Big pharma can't make money from a drug that is no longer patented.

Call me a cynic but people are dying in the pursuit of money.

Vaccines will only prove to be half the solution to provide a preventative measure. You need a "treatment" for those who already have it of which there will be many as vaccines can only do so much. Whilst 4D know that, the government aren't exactly quick off the mark when it comes to their understandings of anything. They will realise eventually and by then 4D will have a product ready to go.

An update would indeed be good, given the nature of CV-19 i would have expected a little bit more of a sense of urgency and interest in finding useful new drugs shown by the government. They appear to be putting all their faith in vaccines, how justifiable is that ?

Would be nice to have an update on progress with the COVID trial. Sounds like the government are strictly dictating which drugs can be used but hospital admissions are growing exponentially. Regarding Plymouth, it's only one of many hospitals that will be part of the study although we've not heard of the others The last couple of interviews and presentations have hinted that the trial is still very much ongoing so could be an interesting RNS soon.

We have all had antibody tests at work in July. Only 2 positive, me included. Just done another with the other person wo had it. I've still got the antibodies, she no longer has so it goes to show that there is a serious issue here if similar results happen elsewhere. 4D need to start pushing this which I am sure they are.

Every time another area goes into further lock down measures it will highlight the need for treatments / vaccines. The wider news yesterday talk was of the uncertainty of how effective a vaccine might be and for how long. I would suggest a treatment in the form of a pill is the way forward, come on 4D !

For the Pilgrims I think so. I think that even though Derriford was the base, they are conducting trials at a lot of hospitals in the South West. No issue with recruitment as patient numbers have increased significantly in the last few weeks.

At 90p he'd have got 27,777 shares, instead of 28,409 at 88p and he would now be showing a paper profit of around £5,500. Don't tell him though :)

Ozzy - understood.

My take on this is I have known so many investors/traders wait for the best possible price to enter only to see a turn a fraction away from their intended entry price. The net result is they curse themselves for not being part of the action.

Friend of mine was due to buy DDDD recently at 88p. He told me it got to 88.3p and he did not get filled. He was in for £25,000 so that has cost him a lot more than 0.3p.

He now has the issue of whether to buy at these levels or not.

sorry to interfere but I do not understand why if you can buy around 111.5p now why you would hold out for 110p. It seems to be flawed way of thinking to me as we're talking about 1% difference which in the scheme of things is laughable.

Each to their own though.
