29/12/2008 11:16 | Katsy..ONGC are stupid and foolish..period! | shiny1000
29/12/2008 11:15 | If I worked in the finance dept. on ONGC I would seriously consider buying some IEC now. For every 1000 they boght now they would save themselves about £1500. In a world where bosses are telling there staff not to print so much or to switch off their monitors at night it would be foolish not to at least save a few bob on this. | katsy
29/12/2008 11:15 | UBS would be silly to be holding 6% and not vote ? | debbiegee
29/12/2008 11:06 | Miamisteve. Hope you are right about UBS.They have a sizeable and critical holding. | imperial3
29/12/2008 10:58 | Katsy - yes but then they then corrected it. 1pm tomorrow is the cut off. Would make sense for someone like UBS who is still adding to hold off acceptance until tomorrow, although they forced me to accept the offer by the 23rd, so expect that they have already accepted and gone on holiday. | miamisteve
29/12/2008 10:55 | Morning guys, didn't we get an RNS saying that the actual time for acceptance was 9am following the 30 dec. | katsy
29/12/2008 10:52 | Those that know,for absolute certain, that it is a done deal,at this time,could make a killing,between now and tomorrow,at these prices. | imperial3
29/12/2008 10:52 | The last point for acceptances is 1pm tomorrow (30 December), with the outcome being announced on the morning of New Year's Eve. Hence, unless the 90% threshold is breached today and announced tomorrow, this is set to go to the wire. For what it's worth, I accepted ONGC's 1250p-a-share offer for the many thousands shares which back my spreadbet. Let's hope for a last-minute flood of acceptances via CREST and so on... :0) Cliff | cliffyburger

29/12/2008 10:44 | No reminder from the company to vote today. Think they know it's in the bag. | miamisteve
29/12/2008 10:40 | spob that is our whole point about the indians whingeing | madjock2
29/12/2008 10:17 | Are these figures from the FT correct ?....... ONGC is buying Imperial for its potential growth. It has probable and possible reserves of 3.4bn barrels of oil equivalent and is planning to lift production to 80,000 barrels a day by 2011. The deal values the UK group at about £1.3bn or 38p per barrel If the figures are correct, this deal amounts to daylight robbery. | spob
29/12/2008 10:16 | Selftrade have removed the shares completely. | backtothesoil
29/12/2008 10:16 | Some will leave it right until a few minutes before the 1pm tomorrow as they will use Crest to accept the offer. | napracc
29/12/2008 10:15 | Has anybody here actually sold any IECA? Are they paying at a different rate ? | debbiegee
29/12/2008 10:09 | Mj - the assented shares should show as IECA, otherwise IEC ? | steelwatch
