Deutsche Bank have produced 4 EPT disclosure notices this morning covering 10th Dec 16th 22nd and 23rd. The total number of Longs in them is 2,366,293 and Shorts 59,111.
The Longs were mostly from the 10th and 16th.

Its a very volatile stock,perhaps cfd players playing for an easy to get 20pts.
It could also be with acccented stock ?

Someone posted that the insti's held over 86%. not quite the same thing as confirmation that they have all voted yes. as always confusion reigns supreme

Squinty, sorry where did you get the 86% from. Surely only ONGC actually know the amount of votes tendered?

5 days before the voting deadline, Synopec had only received 5% of yes votes ,yet ended up with 95%. We are currently over 86% and the voting tally of yesterday has not yet been included as yet.

If SYNOPEC's takeover of the Canadian company received 95% of the votes ,with no threat of them pulling out,then surely IEC will receive well over 95%.

shorts surely must close as shares are pledged. You cannot short a share that has voted yes. Does anyone have an up to date %age of the shorts?

A quarter of the sample of each day's trading lie between the numbers. The daily trading volumes, since the offer, have been close to the median. This suggests to me that the holders have made up their minds (IMHO to accept the offer).

NAPRAC - Added up the institutional holdings that you posted a few days ago.

Came to 86.85%. We then know of a further 2% held by benny and his friends. I assume that there are further nominal institutional holdings and then the PI. All told looks like the deal is sewn up.

Depends on how many boys are waiting till the 29th to tender their shares, so probably won't cross the threshold today although a fair chance exists.

I'm personally expecting the final tally to be 99%+.

Although i'd love to agree with you i think that once the offer is unconditional ONGC will make a compulsory purchase of the other shares and will immediately apply to have allshares delisted thus meaning the payouts cannot be seperated.
