Interesting, so the Chinese rig is a drillrig - not WO. Good move, the old wells are poorly located and plagued with issues. New wells would be far better once they get a handle on the geology and subsurface characteristics.

completion of current well dependent on delivery of new part from Baku which should be the next few days - fingers crossed but he is optimistic. Managed to hook 2 casing breaks but had 3rd unexpected one needing a new tool which they didn't have on site.

mkt doesn't yet understand how much the co is undervalued

strong reserves which can be brought into production on the cheap - opex of $10 per barrel vs $50 per barrel price so only task is to maximise bopd which is a rare characteristic

Recovered and overreaction corrected...this article sums it up...CEO is there a company presentation on each well or your expectation of each well, especially based on history as the market won't know what's good or bad.Gla

Swampy - exactly! The whole point is that the wells have been neglected for years, ZEN wouldn't be there otherwise, so issues were to be expected.

Be interesting if they say what they are mobilising to the field, you don't normally have a rig waiting for equipment unless the equipment costs more than the rig. On a workover you can expect issues so hopefully no big deal.

TGG you are not that wrong but podcasts and talks to favourite journalists etc is what causes the "instant gratification " society it's the tinternets fault really:) We have to live with what we have and move forward we will never go backwards, it used to be 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 wells were successful on drilling I have played the O&G markets for many years just go ask any CEO what happens if they don't have instant production from every well? They get slaughtered!

Not about instant gratification. Clearly AC can talk the talk, the point is whether his team can walk the walk. Might have been a good idea to have held off puffing the share price with the podcast & scheduling the conference call until they'd completed the first workover?
