24/6/2007 09:07 | VERY UNDERVALUED COMPANY WITH HUGE POTENTIAL PLUS NEW OZ LISTING :- Zambezi's $15m IPO closes oversubscribed Sunday Jun 24 14:45 AEST London-listed metals explorer Zambezi Resources Ltd will make its debut on the Australian share market this week after closing its heavily oversubscribed $15 million initial public offering. The offer consisted of 33.3 million shares at 45 cents each and the company says it closed more than three times oversubscribed, amid high demand from Australian institutional and retail investors. It will list on the local exchange on June 29 and then plans to pursue a two-year exploration and development program in its project portfolio in southern Zambia. "This will be a very busy year for us, with four drilling rigs already operational at our flagship Cheowa Copper Project in Zambia," managing director Julian Ford said. "Additional rigs have been secured and we expect to have somewhere between seven and nine rigs operational within the next few months." Zambezi has 16,300 square kilometres in tenements, primarily in southern Zambia, comprising copper-gold and uranium projects. It also has joint ventures on two of these projects with Glencore International AG and a joint venture with its 35.3 per cent-owned sister company Zambezi Nickel Ltd for its Oryx Uranium Project. But the key focus will be its flagship Cheowa Copper Project, which has an initial inferred resource estimate of 1.7 million tonnes at 1.5 per cent copper and 0.5 grams per tonne of gold, for 26,000 tonnes of contained copper metal and 29,000 ounces of contained gold. | sagem
22/6/2007 10:16 | ASX listing date is anticipated to be 29th June according to the prospectus. | umair
21/6/2007 07:53 | It is likely to be any time between 19th and 29th as far as I know. The date is dependant on how quickly the ASX manage to process the paper work. Apparently the ASX is swamped with IPOs and is struggling to cope with the paper work. | ramnik007
